Exporting Light in Blender

Post » Sun Jul 31, 2011 3:41 am

I've been working on patching up the Lucky 38 lights mesh for a mod of mine, and I've completed it and adjusted the normals correctly. Whenever I export as .NIF, it is successful, looks fine in NifSkope, but in game it doesn't appear to have any alpha (transparency) and the usual animation of it (the spinning lights on the base ring) don't play, just remain static. I can post some screens if that would help to show what I mean more clearly.

I would really appreciate any help on this as it is vital for the mod I'm working on, before it can be released.

Thanks,
GTA44

[I've also posted this on the Nexus forums but no one seems to care, so I thought I'd come here.]

Could you post up the NIF somewhere? And any textures associated with it, so I can see what's going on.

PM it to me if you don't want it tloating about out there.

Blender wont be able to import the animation, so when exporting, its really just exporting the geometry. Your best bet would be to swap out the 3D data of the old nif with your new data by replacing the NiTriStripsData blocks (Texture and positioning might need some adjustment)
