Many people seem to be complaining about a voiced actor, personally I'll just download a mod that gets rid of the voice. But the big problem to me is by doing this it wont fix the very little dialogue choices. That to me is an immersion breaker...
I don't think anyone could tell you for sure, at least at this point in time. I highly doubt they'll provide an 'extension' for the dialogue, though. Doing that would completely abolish the point of even having it that way in the first place, and frankly, would appear very sloppy on Bethesda's part. You know what I mean? (Not saying it in a negative way, because I agree with you. It worked for Mass Effect, but I never imagined including that kind of dialogue system in Fallout.)
They'll most likely stick to their design and takes notes for the next installment, but hey, I bet there will be a mod for the dialogue eventually. After all, that's the idea of including the freedom of mods; Players can decide what makes their play-through better and more immersive. Eventually.
i think you'll have to wait for an extensive conversation overhaul mod for that, not just one that cuts out the voice
i'm sure one will come out that looks/functions like fo3 and nv (a list form you scroll down through with fully viewable text, etc) but i figure that'll take time to get set up
all the dialogue text is there surely in the form of captions, but i bet that'll take a while to set up to work with a new system in a mod
honestly im fine with the voice
i justfeel worried not seeing what i'm really gonna say
there were too many times in mass effect and similar games where i chose an option and got a completely different 'real' dialogue response from my character than i had guessed with a little 2 word summery
Very little has been said about the dialogue system, let alone story. Official word, I should say... there has been a multitude of opinions thrown around, that and speculation. To get any real answers, one must only wait for the inevitable release of more information, or for when the game actually comes out. Though asking that, on this forum, is akin to speaking to the wall.
No one knows anything for sure. Something tells me, however, that it'd be very difficult to change a system like that when the game is coming out in November. They've worked on this thing for four years and I don't think they're going to change their mind just 'cause there's some dissenters.
