I think its funny when he asks "can we play as a Dragon?" Todd kind of looks at him like "are you serious?". lol

Hopefully they just don't talk about it and we get to see stuff.

Geoff isn't really an idiot, he always chooses the more obvious questions to ask first. If you noticed, his typical way of doing it is asking obvious questions, then more in depth questions, then obvious questions again and then in depth again. It's a way of trying to get the person he is interviewing to slip up and spill some candid info.

This is true. Notice how he asks Todd what his favorite dragon shout is. Very clever way of trying to get a new dragon shout out to the public. You can see immediately in Todd's expression that he knows what Geoff's up to though and tells him "Fus Ro Dah" . Eventually he just gives up and asks "Do you have an exclusive shout for us here?" to which Todd replies "I don't, sorry". I love how people are hating on him so much for this. Atleast he didn't ask the same exact questions that have already been answered in other interviews. That seems to be a trend these days.

That's totally out of order. The guy's supposed to be a professional.

Some more respect please, Geoff.

This is what I gathered from the interview:

  • You can breathe fire via Dragon Shout
  • Dragons "know how to use the landscape, they can do bombing runs, they can land, they can walk around, they can perch on buildings, they can pick guys up".
  • There are different types of Dragons with different shouts.
  • Dragons appear early then "ramp up" as the game goes on.
  • There's about "two dozen" Dragon Shouts in all.
  • Bethesda is not working on Dragonlings.
  • Fallout 3's lead designer http://static.zenimax.com/bethblog/oldcontent/emil.jpg voiced the Dragon Shout in the trailer.
  • Horses are looking good. They don't want to promise they'll be in though.
  • Snow can dynamically fall and clump onto objects such as "rocks, and chairs, and trees" in different orientations.
  • The team is not looking past Skyrim.
  • We'll see more shouts, dragons, and factions at E3.

The interviewer wasn't the best but I've seen much worse. I think the reason why a lot of people are ticked off at him is because of Todd Howard. In this realm he's equal no let me change that he's greater then a Daedric God or a 9th Divine in terms of how people look up to him. I could tell that Todd was getting a little annoyed by some of the questions like "Could we play as a dragon" :shakehead: :shakehead:

Haha, Geoff is hilarious! :D
A bit annoying (especially when he interrupted Todd when he was going to say the effect of another shout!) but he made it up with his jokes and goofyness. :P

We didn't learn much except that horses have a good chance to be in the game - at the moment.

Can't wait for E3, with more shouts, more dragons... and factions!!!

Great job listing what we learned. Thank you. Did we also learn that there might be an actual speaking dragon somewhere when it's learned *why* the dragons came back? Maybe I misunderstood but I thought about the one in the Merlin TV show.

Anyone else prefer to have them referred to as "Guilds" instead of "Factions"?

I'm not sure if its part of Geoff's act, but he always comes off as a huge DBag (especially in the Angry Joe interview)

Why does it seem like in every interview they ask the same questions that have been answered a million times over? Oooh... Tell us about the dragon shouts because we haven't heard that one before. :glare:

One point that I actually liked that Geoff brought up is the ability to throw a snowball. It'd be a fun way to mess with people, or possibly help you when sneaking (distraction). It wouldn't be counted as assault, guards and others would just warn you. Obviously it'd be a weird thing, but it just reminds me of Half-Life 2 and throwing the soda can at the security guard.
