Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 5:15 am

A good 17 minute interview, enjoy.
Change to standard quality if it loads too slowly.

HAHA that dragon at 0:12 was hilarious...

Is it just me, or does the parts of the Trailer look alot better on this interview than on the whole thing on elderscrolls.com or Youtube?

I guess it's the high-quality video... but I'm even more excited for the game now.

So I watched both of these and am currently more excited about E3 to get the new info than the release...but that is just because six and a half months is just unbearable...

CONFIRMED
-Dragon story has mystery and depth

Seems pretty obvious but some were concerned they would be just treated as random creatures without relevance.

Gametrailers - So will you be able to play as a dragon in this game?

Todd - No, you can't play as a dragon

Gametrailers - But It's in first person so you never know right?

Why is it none of these guys ever ask about any of the combat or stealth skills? One of the first things I expected way back was what you could do as a nord warrior.. but what CAN we do as a nord?

it's classic geoff.

also, even if his guesses are right todd would still say they aren't true due to it being too early to reveal yet.

I just love it when in the first part of the interview at 7:13 this dad and son are climbing on the hill and the camera tries to hide them to move todd in the way lol

Todd Howard, if you're reading this, you have my sympathies for trying to carry on an interview with that fool.

Haha, he was alright. Was just having fun with Todd.

No baby dragons, no snow angels, "definitely not thinking past this game", more info at E3.

The interviewer came across as an idiot, but it's always worth hearing Todd talk about the game. I love how quietly composed he is, starkly so compared to whoever this guy asking the questions is.

It's about the same quality as the video I found and downloaded of the trailer, it's not all grainy like it was on Youtube or elderscrolls.com.

Geoff isn't really an idiot, he always chooses the more obvious questions to ask first. If you noticed, his typical way of doing it is asking obvious questions, then more in depth questions, then obvious questions again and then in depth again. It's a way of trying to get the person he is interviewing to slip up and spill some candid info.

I whole heartedly agree that the interviewer wasn't up to date on all the facts and aleast didn't try to brush through much of the lore ( Which kind of seems apparent from the interview or maybe he is just being open for those who aren't familiar ) but I am losing interest as the days pass by and more and more interviews pop up.

I was especiallly let down because of two things.

First, regarding the fact that the graphic choices are based on the consoles and then may be a step up for the PC and not the other way round. ( Start for the PC and step it down a little for consoles. Although I can understand that this is very difficult and can sometime change completely how the game was supposed to be )

Second is the fact that they are alt least currently not working or have in mind the Bigger picture in the current events of the Universe and are just pumping one game after another.

These aren't dealbreakers for me but would have have been happy if the above two weren't true. Will buy the game irrespective due to the Mod tools to mod everything I want into the game :P

wait, what? the bigger picture in the current events of the universe? That is possibly the largest amount of nonsense I've heard in some time.

Yes....because they keep shelling out TES games each year...

As for graphics, they shouldn't start on the PC. Firstly, because it's easier to build the game using the 360 dev kit then port it over into PC or PS3. We already know they are redoing the UI completely for the PC as well. Besides, when you make a drawing, you don't start out right off the bat with the finished product, you start with a rough sketch (console) and then you add all the detail to finish the drawing (PC).

And mine too!
I have been flabbergasted by the jesters in the recent batch of interviews. The sheer irrelevance and redundancy of most of the questions asked is astonishing. If only they had randomly picked one of us forumnites to conduct the interview...

Todd, I guess it comes with the job.
