Not surprised. Ever since looking through cfg files in the Beta I knew there were 4 settings:

Low...Gamer
Medium....Advanced
High...hardcoe
Very High...??? (was disbaled and you couldn't use it)

So Maximum Extreme is the 4th one? Or just Extreme?

Well this one guy DID find a d3dx10_42.dll. So there is still hope for DX10.

There was a rumor before the retail copy came out so of course there is a rumor. If it hasn't yet been confirmed and the product is in homes then it's almost certainly not true.

I'm just trolling since I only have DX10.1.

This just got me pumped up again haha, I'm sure they wouldn't rename hardcoe as extreme, that would be unbelievably pointless and stupid.

It's pretty funny that a lot of people still think that Crysis 2 will look like the Multiplayer demo. I mean couldn't it be that Crytek downgraded the look of the Multiplayer mode just to make the game run smoother? Think about it.
In such a fast paced Multiplayer you need a stable number of frames so you can react whenever you need to (react really really fast. Modern Warfare players know what i'm talkin about). If the game lags like s*** than you'll die all the time. So what Crytek does is they let the multiplayer mode look **** but everybody is able to run the game smoothly. However, I think the Singleplayer will look phenomenal. I'm pretty sure it will (I pray for it )

They can't open the game...

That is just not true iPwn. The screenshot posted in the op's post is from willertz from those forums. After downloading a 600kb patch the graphical options changed to good, very good and extreme and he said that gamer, advanced and hardcoe are gone... Also the "press start" screen changed to "press enter".

because of that, i think that this patch was only to rename some things

I can take some pictures in singleplayer Good, very good and extreme. I also believe thats my picture. hehe.

in settings click show fps in on screen display then take your screenshots
it will show you the fps and what directx version you are running
