At first I was abandoning the forums, because I didn't want to get spoilered.. but with all the bugs and no patch until monday I have little choice.

I had my problems with the "history points" for Boone. When I got Boone as companion I already did some of the quests that are essential for his "history points" (and some after I got him like "I put a spell on you", because I haven't already known that there is something like history points and he would have killed the spy before I had the chance to end the quest properly).

So I made some math and planned my playthrough to get the last points to trigger his quest "I forgot to remember to forget".

1. I freed the powder gangers in "Booted" and afterwards I talked to Boone.
2. I killed Benny and talked to Boone.

This should be 3 "history points" according to the wiki.

Everything worked fine. But then I got the quest "Eye for an Eye" in Camp Searchlight and went to Cottonwood Cove to eradicate the Legion.

I got all intel and installed the bug. I freed the slaves. And I killed Aurelius of Phoenix (which should count as 1 history point). Then I talked to Boone.

No extra dialogue frome Boone. Okay then i released the barrels from the truck. Quest finished, but no response from Boone. (Now I should have 6 history points and he doesn't even respond.)
I looked at the legionaries but the didn't bother the radiation.

Okay I thought than load an old savegame and kill the legionaries old school.
Still no response from Boone even when I let him finish them off.

There nothing about it in the wiki (except for the bug that the barrels from the truck don't always work), and there is nothing in the patch notes concerning this quest.

So what should I do? I don't want to use the console to cheat me the points and I don't want to start over with Boone because this would be 40 hours of gaming.

I got this one to work by killing everyone at the fort. The dialogue came up once Caesar and everyone in the tent is killed. I'm thinking it's a bugged quest because I also had the points as established in the wiki.

Yeah I've tested it and it worked. But for now I'm waiting for the patch. If it doesn't solve my problem it's "You can toss my salad Caesar" -.- .

The patch didn't fix my problem, neither the barrels will kill all legionaries nor Boone will respond to this action.

EDIT: Little update.. I killed Caesar, finished Boone's companion quest and left him at Novac. (Temporarily I can't stand his face caused me too much trouble). And because the charging cyberdog is getting on my nerves too I travel with Veronica and ED-E.
