Eyepatches and other accessories

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 11:23 am

One thing i hated in fallout is seeing that one guy with the baddass eye patch and never being able to get one for myself.
So how do you all feel about having this, and other accessories, in skyrim?
Imagine seeing a khajiit come running at you with an axe and some tribal facial piercings
or fight along side a charging Nord with a huge beard and an eye patch swinging a war hammer
what do you guys think of facial accessories such as this making an appearance in the caracter creation system along with face-paint/tattoos?

also, for just a little bit of persuasive inspiration http://www.firstshowing.net/img2/dilios-300-eyepatch-final-img.jpg

I love the idea of Tattoos and Piercings.
It would make the character creation immersion all that more deeper.
So yea, good idea.

Erm, it's completely unnesssecary and unwanted, as is most of the character creation and customization  Ya, I'm the only one who thinks so on this entire forum

Edit: my little 4.5 year ol dboy loves the song Thriller and does a mean zombie dance LOL

Haha well I want it, so that kinda puts a damper on your "unwanted" theory ;)

Sorry...checked join date, you're not "him." There was this guy in the New Vegas forums who spent about 2 months before the game was released creating weekly "Can we have eyepatches?" threads, see...anyway, onward. ;)

Don't much matter to me either way. I'll take all the accessories they'll give me, and not bat an eye about it if what they decide is to not give me any.

You call yourself Mr. Scary, why do you want an eye patch, would you not prefer a character gen option just to walk around with a missing eye?

I'm with you. The more accessories the better.

It would be good to see a few guys with eye patches although only if it fit them really, I doubt people wear them just for the crack. The picture you showed of the guy from 300 was wearing it due to an injury - if anyone had one in Skyrim, I'd like to hear their story, explaining why they have it :)
However I wouldn't want any piercings or tattoos - I understand facial paint but the others wouldn't feel right, in my opinion, anyway.

If you have an eye patch, shouldn't that reduce your FOV in 1st person?

If they allow freedom of accessories, I'd love to find gems, both soul and priceless to use as false eyes.
This said we don't know that much about character generation.
They're using a face fit system abit like a police photo fit for a suspect***.
So the chance of symmetrical and identical feature should not be the only choice, if however they are it's a waste of the new system.

Edit:*** we may end up with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Caesius.jpg
