gawd, everytime I come onto this forum I loathe this thread :P
I'd be buying it right now if I didn't have to shell out £100 for a parking fine, damn poorly placed signs...

I just finished it tonight. There were some things I didn't like, but I actually loved it. Combat/magic systems are secondary to story for me, and I thought the story was outstanding. There were annoyances, sure, but I'm actually really looking forward to replaying it. Also pure/corrupt is not gone,
Spoiler
you just do not reach them til the end of the game, depending on the choices you make once you are king.

Yeah imo gameplay is a step back, the sanctuary is a step foreward though, but the story imo kinda redeems it. I will only say the quest name which isnt spoilery imo but darkness incarnate was one of my favorite moments in gaming, definately one of the more memorable things, granted its only been a few days, but that thing stands out. I just wish the game answered some questions instead of creating more.

I cant decide if I like this or not, I mean I am loving the story, and how its going to be linked in the future games will be awesome, but I just think the gameplay is in decline, spells removed and made into potions and the removal of the expression wheel were terrible ideas imo.

Any volunteers? :hubbahubba:

No seriously. My gamertag is in my profile, just add me up. Be warned though, my mic is broken, and I cannot speak. I can listen to what you say, but cannot reply. Only in messages, so keep that in mind. Thanks in advance. :D

I havent been playing it, I have been watching someone play it. I asked what was going on, and the reply was to tickle a beggar to become friends. Very unique gameplay.

Yeah the more I play the less I am liking it, pure/corrupt is gone, no neutral option and the chests unlok at specific times in the story, soeven if you have 1000 seals straight away you wont get everything to lvl up until your king...
Also the chests you unlock are dissapointing, included are dyes, expression,s being better at jobs, the option to buy a shop (yep cant buy one til you get this...) and a fewother thinds aswell as weapon damage.
Oh and someof they dyes you cant unlock anyway well not yet, take a look at this http://lionhead.com/forums/t/290772.aspx yeah not to happy with LH atm.

...

what the hell? that's just cheap; such a low blow for consumers. I really hope people boycott that and force them to release it for free because that's just plain greedy and mean. If it were some bizarre color like Shartruse or Highlighter Yellow then okay it might make sense, but something as arbitrary and common place as black and white seems like their taking advantage of an obvious staple to make a quick buck

as far as the game goes I'm enjoying it, the graphics aren't that good, and I really don't like how you have to unlock dyes and the severe lack of clothing options, but overall I dig the multi-spells thing and the general sense of tangibility the game gives

Yeah its very low, and the unlocking dyes and things imo is BS, I dont know why I cant just buy them, or find expressions, I dislike the new expression system. And the lack of clothes, yeah, gets worse when most are just male and female varients.

Customization has gone down the drain with this one. I think my weapons would end up the same way no matter what I did.

The clothes options are okay, I think. They aren't too much, but still. You really have to search for hairstyles though. Each shop only has like 5 things they could possibly sell, and there aren't too many shops to begin with.

Also, what the hell happened to Bloodstone and Oakfield?

Really? The only thing I think will be a pain is how easy it is to get the bone handle, but my ending weapon was pretty different to other people's I've seen.

It had the lame bone handle, a balverine head blade, a copper hue and a black aura.

On a side note, I like the makeup that makes you look like Jack of Blades a little.

the Bone Handle is infuriating, WAY too easy to get it and it looks ugly as sin\

I had another pistol that came out looking quite good, it had a pure handle and intricate design, sadly it's on another play that's glitched on me :( I wish I could transfer it to my current character but no one will help me do that

That's cause you joined my game when I was treasure hunting (for the balverine one) and you also got divorced in that game, which causes the black blade.

I got the Limited Collectors Edition and so far I am really liking it. Definitely an improvement over Fable II, which was a big dissapointment in my eyes.
The fact that your Hero actually talks now is a big plus to me, and I think the fighting improved too. I love the magic gauntlets and that you can combine spells with them and the fact that your weapons also evolve depending on how you use them. And some of the quests I've done are hilarious!
The quest where three wizards are playing a game and they want you to save the princess of the evil baron, DO THIS ONE, interact with everything you come across in that quest and listen to all of the wizard's banter. I was laughing so hard during that quest.

Fable I was good.
Fable II was bleh
Fable III is going into the right direction again. Thumbs up so far.

Not exactly. There are battles in which there are plenty of enemies, and you have a couple allies, but that doesn't exactly fall under my definition of "large-scale". "Larger scale" perhaps.

Edit: Also about the people talking about different weapons; I guess the weapons are more varied than I thought. Mine look nothing like the ones described. Im currently using Souldrinker and it's got a standard sort of blade with blue designs similar to magic users, and a gold handle. It has a sand color sort of aura. Guns are similar.

Not after being given the one-finger salute over no Fable 2 port for PC. Molyneux and his exaggerations can go eat a bag of hell.

"right...rhyming frame with frame? apparently the 'greatest poet of our time' doesn't have a thesaurus!" that made me laugh

and I agree, Fable III is going back in the right direction, next time they need to change some stuff though

Yeah, the thing is the story, atmosphere and humor is getting better, the gameplay however has got worse, which is a shame, it can have great writing but most of the time I play for a fun game, not to dance with strangers.

I thought combat was fine, I especially liked the revamped Magic system, that being said the one complaint I have about FIII that I also had with FII and I REALLY hope they do SOMETHING about, is the difficulty, I'm sorry, this game in insultingly easy. Oh, and another thing I think people have not mentioned yet but is also grinding my gears are the enemy types. I'm getting pretty freakin' sick of fighting hollow-men and mercenaries.

Oh dont worry about that, after a certain mission, balverines will be everywhere instead...

Yeah I found that out days ago, probablly should have told people that you cant put safety on anymore, meaning there is no way to stop them killing people... Stupid choice imo.

BTW eventually dose anyone want to trade weapons, because that achivement is a [censored] to get, and I dont really trust people if I joined another forum.
