Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there some kind of program that allows you to upload a picture of a real persons face and converts to an animated face? I was just thinking how cool it would be to have something like this in Skyrim. Imagine playing as your character that looks just like you. Or even better...imagine playing as a beast race/elf version of you....

What do you guys think?

Face Gen and Face Gen to Oblivion converter allow such thing to be done in Oblivion

I have no idea what you're talking about, so I assume this is a PC only feature? Or was I just unaware of it when I played Oblivion on my 360?

I would assume that what he or she means is using an external Facegen program to recreate your face, and then importing that face into Oblivion, because this isn't something you can do by default using only Oblivion even on the PC version.



I don't know, I can't imagine myself as a Khajiit, I think that would look pretty strange...

But I wouldn't say playing as a character that looks just like me would be cool, in fact, I think it would be kind of boring. I like to role-play as someone different from myself, if I just want to play as myself, there's every day life for that. So if such a feature were in the game, I wouldn't use it.

Then you have only one option, take an mirror try recreate your face with vanilla Face editor.

Well Oblivion has some mods thats add beards, while in Skyrim they are confirmed

I did this on the 360 in Fight Night 4 but besides that I dont know too many other games that utilize the feature

I dont know how viable it is for a game that allows you to play as non humans though. I couldnt even get my gf's face to upload because it just didnt fit the necessary profile

These are amazing! If that's without 3D modelling/touchups I am very impressed. They should put this feature into standalone game as an optional extra.

I really want the console and PC version to have a serial code that ties to every possible facial configuration. I believe Mass Effect had such a system. This way, you can ask a buddy to help you out and you only need to enter the code that he works out for you. And you can use it over again with a remade character if need be.

Bet it will be a mod for pc for Xbox 360 hmm i don't know maybe they can Capture your face from Kinect or Vision Camera and Generate the Face in Skyrim

Yeah, I actually got an achievement for it. The only other game I recall having this feature was Rainbow 6: Vegas

I for one wouldnt mind seeing this feature included, but I just dont know how well it would work.

I would like it if for each race they had maybe 4-5 different premade faces, I always make my own, but it would make it easier for people to make different characters

After much frustration playing with the face generation tools trying to create a Khajiit character in Oblivion, I hit the "random" button and it gernerated a spitting image of Keith Richards!

Most of work was done in Face Gen so you need just good hi-rez picture of face what you desire,
then few minor tweaks can be done in in-game face editor or in CS, also there is additional features thats by some strange reason was not added into game like
eyelashes, they make face more living not like plastic doll.

This and some custom hairs its all additional modeling what was done, no one of this two options required from player, just install appropriate mod created by skilled modder.
