Facebook Or Twitter

Post » Thu Aug 26, 2010 2:56 am

I like talking to my friends on Facebook, I comment on my friends stuff and something write something on a their wall. If I'm doing something interesting I usually don't feel like posting a status about it and if I'm bored I just post random nonsense :twirl:

Oh kk I thought you only look on what there doing and didn't say anything. My mistake

They aren't an either/or thing. I have both, though I don't use Twitter much.

I live in Montana, but my childhood friends go to college elsewhere. Facebook allows me to keep up with what they are doin' and allows me to talk to them.

Don't have either myself. Everyone I know I need to talk to I can either call or text for the most part. I do talk to this girl I'm seeing through my friends facebook though, seeing as how she doesn't have a phone at the moment.

Facebook. I had a Twitter before a Facebook, and I just found that I got bored. Mostly because I had no friends on there and barely any followers. I did find a couple of awesome strangers to follow though. One had a fantastic ginger afro, and another had a fantastically dark, bitter sense of humor. I find Facebook a lot handier for talking to friends and organizing stuff, and you're able to do more. I have to admit that the over-dramatic girls that clog up my news feed are annoying, but it's pretty hilarious when they fail.

For example, some chick changed her status to "In a relationship", and some other chick commented "Which one?" I lol'ed.

Mine is full of annoying depressed girls going through this cycle:

OMG SO IN LOVEEEEEEEEEE.................. <3333333!!!!!!!!!!!
(Lyric about fighting for love)
I don't want to talk about it :(((((((((
Single n lovin IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :))))))))))
I................really miss him sometimes )':
(Wannabe scathing lyric about being better without whoever did them wrong)
I <3 MY GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......... Who needs a guy when you have girls like mine!.............
You said I'd never be worth anything...............and sometimes I believe you..............

And repeat until I block that feed.

Hahaha what an accurate portrayal. :D

I use Facebook for keeping track of social events, I don't use Twitter. I just have an RSS feed of some infrequently updated Twitter accounts (Twitterers? Tweeters? I don't know) of indie developers and mod teams and such.

They're... separate services that don't try to fill the same gap at all?

Also, "I've been on facebook since I was 10" makes me feel really, really old.

Some of the people in this thread are huge [censored] idiots, it seems. If you don't wanna hear people talk about their bowel movements or other inane crap, DON'T FOLLOW THEM.

Facebook can be nice to keep in touch with friends who live far away, but other than that it has limited use as far as I'm concerned.
Tiwtter has just about replaced RSS and news sites in general for me. So much quicker. It's also nice to get some meetups going.

Twitter is VERY useful for news purposes. I don't see the point in following regular people though.

As for FB, I use it a lot for pictures, to organise events, and to play Zynga Poker!

I guess there are people who have no use for this. However, if you say that they have no use to anyone in a de facto manner -> you are wrong. Very, very wrong.
