I don't use either of them. I do, however, follow some things on Twitter (some OSS projects that use Twitter instead of an RSS feed, some anime stuff) so Twitter is more useful for me despite me not having an account with either.

Also: I died a little inside when, after finishing my taxes, I saw a "Brag about it on Facebook" button. :shakehead:

Facebook. Twitter is so. Freaking. Useless. You either have your friends writing about useless crap you also see on Facebook statuses or you follow celebrities/companies/bands and hear about what they're doing and even more, what they're advertising.

How long has facebook been around? I just got mine last year...

Anyway I would have to say facebook, even though both are full of people saying "OMG such a horrible day! AND I do NOT want to talk about it!"

I use both Facebook and Twitter but lately I've been neglecting Facebook more and more in favor of Twitter. So it's safe to say that I prefer Twitter, as it helps me easily keep up to date on things and people that I'm interested in. It also, believe it or not, keeps me updated with certain things in the news thanks to trending topics (though most trending topics are usually quite dumb). It's also nice to be able to find people with similar interests and be able to easily "follow" and communicate with them.

(Lyric about fighting for love)
I don't want to talk about it :(((((((((
Single n lovin IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :))))))))))
I................really miss him sometimes )':
(Wannabe scathing lyric about being better without whoever did them wrong)
I <3 MY GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......... Who needs a guy when you have girls like mine!.............
You said I'd never be worth anything...............and sometimes I believe you..............

And repeat until I block that feed.

Though I don't have a Twitter yet, I don't think I'd prefer one over the other. They both do different things.

That is true of you want to check up on someone you don't have to wait for them to add you. but on twitter it so much easier. Also where did you get your twitter background from? I also followed you your tweets are good and not completely pointless like most

Facebook, I hate Twitter. It's useless in my opinion, like you can say you're taking a [censor] or you love shopping and people would follow you. Sounds dumb to ordinary people using it. Like my friend said, it only useful to brands, advertisemant, celebrities etc just to hear information or news from them.

I hate that! Its like they obviously want people to know about it if they're posting it. I like the drama though, it adds spice to normal school days...as long as I'm not involved. I also just got my Facebook fairly recently, almost just a year ago. I was one of those "Holdouts" that always told my friends I would never make a Facebook, then one boring summer day I decided to humor them and I made a Facebook, added a few people then went to bed thinking I would never use it. The next morning I woke up and had about a dozen friend requests from people I didnt even know rembered me...it was cool for a while, now its sort of boring but I still go on my Facebook a lot and average only about 2-5 notifacations a day (on a good day).

I have a twitter because my friends wanted more followers. I tweeted once. Its weird though, these people are publically telling people what we're doing as we're doing it...its like a public spectacle..

Heres a few snippets from the past months..

Hangin' with @nelsondoleman and @MikeDzines in the studio.
At the movies with @jourdanhorban and @mikedzines seeing Hall Pass. I wanted to see Never Say Never though lol
Pumpkin spice latte, now heading over to @mikedzines to work on some stuff! #goodday
Currently taking @mikedzines to taco bell for lunch. He's never been there before!

I don't want people to know i've never been to taco bell?! What the hell is this!

I use Facebook because it makes organising events and keeping up with friends very easy. I've only ever used it for that, I've never bothered with the 'liking' pages, apps or games.

Twitter to me just seems completely inane. People posting what they just ate, that they've been to the toilet, that they just read a newspaper is not the sort of thing I want to read.

I use Facebook, I got a twitter account but never used it. I don't really care about what celebrities are doing and Facebook tells me what my personal friends are doin. I don't even post status on Facebook often cause I doubt anyone is really interested, I can understand why people use Twitter some people are into that kind of stuff and it's been used to get stories for the News alot so it dose have it's use. But if I was famous and if anyone actually gave a damn about what I'm doing I would use it, couldn't hurt

But how do you know your mates don't give a dam about what your doing? I sure that if they are your mates they will be interested because I was like that because I thought it was full of chavs but its fun to talk to your mates on it.

I've never used Facebook, but Twitter is neat for following various websites, game developers, etc. You get the occasional bit of info before any news sites catch wind of it (if they do at all), or post updates from a number of sites in one convenient location.

It also seemed fairly useful following the Tōhoku earthquake based on what I've read and tweets by those that I follow. I don't think I'll doubt its usefulness again, even if it's more commonly used by tweens babbling on about their day.

I like talking to my friends on Facebook, I comment on my friends stuff and something write something on a their wall. If I'm doing something interesting I usually don't feel like posting a status about it and if I'm bored I just post random nonsense :twirl:
