You mean since you shave all the time, when you let your facial hair grow out will it be really thick? I'm pretty sure the shaving makes your facial hair come back thicker and faster is just a myth.

It depends on your genes. I know some guys who can grow thick nasty beards and other ones who can grow stringy nasty beards.

Facial hair is lame. Don't get it. It's much better to be a clean and shaved than a bearded twit.

Now now, you wouldn't want to make my beard angry. You wouldn't like it when http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR1VgBl9e0meqYLTFcd9b73-lObrgFnkxPRJikJ9oRb3FLPuWBuAQ&t=1.

Facial hair is godly, the birthright of every true man, a show of his manly prowess.

Except neckbeards, always shave neckbeards.

You're completely off your rocker. Beards are compensation for an actual lack of manly prowess, and just scream "look at me! I'm manly". A real man doesn't seek to be noticed, and a real man shaves his [censored] facial hair.

Look, did Marlon Brando, or Jack Lalanne have facial hair? No. And those two are basically the gods of manly.

Are we just going to sit here and post pictures of celebrities?

Because I don't give a damn who does or doesn't have a beard. I have a beard, and I love it. And none of you are gonna take that love from me!

Yeah, a http://www.shavingstuff.com/archives/027259.php.

As mentioned in the above link, how quickly/thickly your beard will grow depends on your particular mix of chromosomes. Not shaving for a weekend will give you some indication.

Perhaps, just perhaps your preferred choice of facial hair and style isn't what makes you manly. Just a crazy thought. I know... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJbDnQWPLhg.

nooooooo....

I love facial hair. I always thought growing up that it was a sign of toughness and power. I wish I could grow facial hair, but it never works... but these are NOT celebrities..

Lots of good successful people had facial hair (do not turn this into a political conversation)

From what I've garnered, even his mustache was considered fashionable for the day.

Damn it Hitler, you just had to go a ruin a perfectly good facial hair style!

Wow, a lot of beard hate here. I am pretty fond of my beard (though I apparently look 15 years older then I really am).

I don't feel "clean" and ready to face the world unless I shave. Hate the way stubble feels on my face and a full, itchy beard is out of the question.

I can only grow a stubble. I love the stubble look when it's 'dense', however I end up shaving it once a week.

To answer your question, no.

And for the beard vs beard argument, it has nothing to do with manliness. A tall, muscular, clean shaven man will look manlier than the short, scrawny, bearded guy. It's not the measure of a man. If it looks good on you keep it, if it doesn't, don't. I personally clean shave every other night, thus maintaining somewhat of a stubble throughout. Suits me just fine, but any more than that and it looks awkward.
