Facial Hair

Post » Tue Sep 29, 2009 9:50 pm

I'm hoping we get similar facial hair options to FO3/FNV instead of the 5 o'clock shadowing system in OB. A little more attention to beardly detail is necessary in the far North of Skyrim.

Heck, I preferred the beards in MW over the 5 o clock shadows in OB. I would like the option of changing it from time to time in game (like FO3).

Fallout style. I don't even need to go into detail about what was wrong with Oblivion's.

Absolutely, keep it realistic.

And when I say FO style beards, I obviously mean just a wide selection of preset beards, appropriate for the Nords of Skyrim.

Other. I want to be able to select from a bunch of beards, kinda like Fallout, but I want to be able to customise them. Longer, shorter, whatever. I also want them to look like a part of the face. A lot of Fallout's beards just looked fake, compared to the rest of the head.

I voted 'Other' as a lot of beards in Fallout would not feel right to have in Skyrim. But I'd definitely want beards and lots of them!

MW didn't have beards, if I recall correctly.

Looks pretty unanimous...NO ONE likes Oblivon's beards! :swear:

I wonder how much developing time it would take to add beard physics? Underwater beards, beards blowing in the wind, etc.

I'd rather they outdo FO, give the option for big bushy bears or long flowing Gandalf/Dumbledore beards or braided Gimli beards.

That's because Oblivion didn't have beards like we would imagine them. It was just that god awful slider that made it look like you had some weak 5 o'clock shadow.

Fallout 3 had great beards, so we shouldn't have an issue.

I hate to say it, but the Oblivion facial hair system just didn't do it for me.

Fallout's however, was pretty good. There were many choices which made customization enjoyable.

I can't see there being as many choices in Skyrim, but it would be nice.

I would like to get to choose the style, much longer styles too please.

I would then like to choose the length of the beard or mustache like Oblivion.

I voted other, or rather neither. Character animation in both Oblivion and FO3 was awful. I hope it's completely revamped in Skyrim...

FO3/NV style, but far more options specific to nordic culture (viking beards, anyone?).
