Fact: This game is simply AMAZING

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 11:05 pm

Originally i wasnt much of a fan but that was because i played it way too hardcoe (WoW ruined me). Beat the main quest in an hour and a half and leveled smithing/enchanting early on and got burnt out.

Returning to it and not fast traveling, not lvling those skills until late game, and not even touching the main quest past the first dragon encounter ive found this game is the bomb and to fully enjoy it this is how you should play.

I have a WoW addicted friend that I was certain wouldn't like Skyrim. He played for 5 minutes and said it was boring. Then he gave it another chance for a little bit longer and now he said he can't put it down.

A scientist told me that this is indeed a fact.

Can't argue with a scientist since all they do is science, and science is 97% facts.

Power gaming is definatly not a good way to enjoy Skyrim.

It all started with Diablo 2 for me. I remember when I used all the tricks in Oblivion to level my skills in just the exact amount to maximize the attributes, so I kept something over the mouse button and went away to do something else until I leveled exactly 7 levels of my restoration skill, then I went to a goblins cave and just let them kick my ass until I got 3 more levels on heavy armor. I wasted hours "playing" like this until I realized how ridiculous this obsession for the perfect character and how tedious this "game" had became. I completely changed my outlook of games ever since.

Now I have fun again. I'm 120 hours in, 3 characters and I still haven't finished the MQ. This is definatly an amazing game but you need to play it "right"

Unless your character would smith or enchant themselves. Then, by all means, smith and enchant your heart out.

Despite a few glitches and bugs, most notably the broken resists, this game is excellent.

It might not be "perfect", what is? I'm still going to play it for hundreds of hours. I'll put it down for awhile, and a few months later, I'll play another 80 hours or so. Probably for the next 3 years or so I'll enjoy the hell out of this game.

To the complainers: If it's so bad, I'd like to see you do better. Wait for the CK and prove me wrong, please.

How did you beat the main quest that fast? o.o

In all honesty (not bashing this or TES) oblivion and skyrim is just a little lacking on a lengthy main quest. But that's not how i beat it so fast, it just contributes to it. But its okay cause even with fast travel and power gaming i clocked in 80 hours on that char. the Side quests are just so numerous.

I used fast travel and that is essentially how you beat it so fast. Take out fast travel and im sure it would take around 3-4 hours to beat if you did nothing else.

That sair on my second, legit character im doing pretty much all of the "monotonous" randomluly generated quests and throwing in some actual quests as a supplement just so i can hit 50 and have loads of fun when leveling slows down.

For me once i hit 50 OR beat the main quest i just lose all inspiration to play. It feels like ive beaten the game (even though i realize theres like 300 more hrs of gameplay), and at 50 it takes so much to level i just lose that satisfaction of lvling up.

So hopefully i can avoid both of those things by saving quests until 50 since they don't give xp anyway, and just do the random quests

Interesting that you would present your opinion as fact.

Obviously i presented it as such to express my revelation from being bored with the game (because i just was playing it wrong) to having multitudes of fun (hence my suggestion for those playing the game like i was ).

But youre too busy being filled with negativity and arrogance to realize that.
