State your faction of choice and your reason for choosing it. Please no arguing.

Security.

For one, they just look a lot more appealing to me. I am i fan of clean lines as opposed to the rough and worn look of resistance.

I also agree with the mission of Security. The management of resources might not be optimal, or even fair, but blowing [censored] up isn't much of an answer. Fighting to keep the peace is more of my style, some of the resistance missions sound down-right childish, like the reactor mission where the guy getting interviewed said basically that they are trying to blow it up because "if you aren't gonna share it, no one gets to have it". Not a train of thought that I can get behind.

I agree with the Resistance's mission more since they're fighting for equal rights while the Security is just trying to uphold a kind of aristocracy where one group is more privileged than another. And the whole guerilla warfare thing is a big plus.

Even so, my main faction will be Security. I'm in the military, and I just appreciate their customization options. The Beetle archetype just screams "badass." That goes without saying, I'm not going to be one of those that refuses to play as the other faction. Sometimes I'll play Security, other times Resistance.

I respect both faction's missions. I'm going to mostly play Security, but I will play through the Resistance storyline.

That was also stated to be a "What if" mission. It wouldn't be playied as a bonus after the main storyline.

State your faction of choice and your reason for choosing it. This is NOT meant to be a discussion thread.

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1119529-security-vs-resistancein-fashion/page__st__40 This is the latest topic on the subject, even though it's only about the looks of the factions. If you'd look a bit further down, you'd see the two thousand other topics about this subject.

Making a thread in a discussion forum to NOT discuss anything is pretty useless because people always will.
Also, I would make a third option: Both (Or as others have called it: Mercenary) because I don't care which side I'll be playing. Resistance has more appeal storywise, while I like the looks of the security. Fact is: I'll play both and I don't care what team I'm on.

Also that thread about looks has developed a bit further than just looks, iirc. As characters are not faction-bound, you will play both sooner or later anyway to see all content in the game.

Yeah, I guess you're right about the discussion. lol. I'll go edit the poll right now to put in that 3rd option.

All right, I have edited the poll. New and improved, with a Mercenary option as well.

I will play both, but I'm more for sticking it to the man then killing people that don't have supplies to live. I see both sides though. Survival of the fittest.

The Resistance DOES have rations, and that's all that they deserve. They flooded the Ark's population, and they can't then demand that the government of a small floating city gives them everything that they want. If there were only 5,000 like there should've been, it would be reasonable if they asked for some supplies.

Back to the point,

I'm obviously siding with the Security, because they shouldn't be killed by the Resistance for trying to maintain order and balance with problems that they didn't cause.

Well, the Resistance formed because too many people wanted to live on the ARK. They are not the cause, but the result.

I'm gonna have to agree with you. If water/rations are spread among all citizens equally, there may not supplies for everyone to live, so the Ark would erupt in complete anarchy, every man for himself, instead of Security v. Resistance.
