"old Enclave military base"
We know the Enclave was made before the great war and im pretty sure they didn't use lasers all the time im sure back in the day. (the basics are its a exstreamly old military base used by the enclave to create there first power suits but was abandoned for some un known reason.)

Great faction and backdrop !!!! Just keep in mind that Enlave is not the pre war military. So you would not just find a pre war Enclave base sitting there. It would be a old U.S. military base. Also you can t have Enclave troopers and bos hanging out at thier place they would shoot each other on sight i d shoot an Enclave trooper on sight then the reapers would start shooting every one and everyone would start shooting them and it wouldn t even make it to the airport deal. Enclave has to just appear in force out of nowhere. As long as your ending has a way that the bos and reapers both work together I love it.

But that is not what the Enclave is about, that is what Fallout 3 did to the BoS, and it was horrible...

I dont want to start a 10 post dicussion with u about this, but The cw bos did what they had to do in the face of annihilation . They do have a complex about them but the are not Enclave. They are way more likely to break down and pick people up than Enclave. All Bethesda did was give Elder Lyons a brain. He now runs the strongest bos there is. Making factions like bos and Enclave adapt is not only plausable its probable, because no one want to die out. Pretend they r real people with brains.

Because what would be the point of the Enclave then? They recruit wastelanders and go around actively trying to be noble, which is what he had suggested? Don't know about you but when over the course of 40 years, the survivors have witnessed their entire way of life, all of their families & friends being killed, their society which they are heavily indoctrinated into loving crushed and, seeing as who they see themselves as a race apart, even there species hunted to anhilation; there last thought will actually be about helping the people of the wasteland, that's making them think like real people.

Name: Sharpshooters

Location of Origin: Vault 58

Vault 58, was a vault payed for mostly by a group of high ranking military men to put the best of the best in terms of military soldiers, over generations they taught their children the art of warfare, snip

I like them they could be added into a game. Sounds like a good guy faction.

no no not the part about Enclave, but sooner on later they will have to take in people and convince them or force them to fight. I was more talking about his comment on cw bos. Bos has a complex but not like Enclave. I certainly don t think Enclave should ever have good intentions, but appear to be good to unknowing tribals.

Fair enough then, I see no reason why a chapter shouldn't go rouge, they aren't brought up on propaganda and patriotism like the Enclave so I don't find it inconceivable that an Elder or such might realise what a massive, evil sack of pricks his entire organisation is and decide to try and do some good. Maybe he was talking more about the black and whiteness of it all, like how it was executed as an organisation which just so happened to be so diametrically opposed to the Enclave? Regardless, lore-wise, I see no problem with Lyon's BoS, again, I have never really researched them like I do the Enclave.

Factions:

The Mob- Gangsters and mobsters after the Great War united together in the year 2261 to form the Mob. Named to honor the Pre-War Mob they control all of Chicago and have a lot of influence in the entire northern part of the state. Their twenty-nine leaders, called the Crimebosses, are either mebers of or controlled by the remnants of the Enclave Outpsot in Chicago. (Only four are Enclave members, the other twetny-five are being promised the greatest power and technology in the world by the forty-three remaining Enclave members). The Enclave has the Mob spread anti-MWBoS and anti-MLA propaganda throughout the entire region. The Mob consists of twenty-nine gangs (each gang ruled by a different crimeboss) who constantly fight and argue about almost everything. They mainly use sub-machine guns, revolvoers, sniper rifles, and pistols. Most memebrs of the Mob have a tatoo on the back of their hand to prove it (many are pushing to make this a requirement). The only reason the Mob isn't just a bunch of argueing gangs is because of the Chicago Treaty. The Chicago Treaty was thought up by the Enclave Remnants who completed it in 2257 and managed to get every gang to sign it within four years. The treaty prevents the gangs from using certain weaponry to fight one another and limits the amount of men they can use against eachother. Although almost every gang has broken the treaty many times it somehow is still being used by 2284.

The New Race- A large group of ghouls founded by a ghoul slave who escaped captivity and began saving other ghouls. There are thousands of members who believe that humanities greatest mistake (destroying the world with nuclear weapons) created the heirs to the planet, ghouls. They have any ghoul as a citizen and all humans in their region are either dead or slaves.

I consider it Canon and Bethesa has said that the "High Level Event" of Fallout Tactics are canon. There is nothing wrong with Tactics canon wise. Nothing about it that would make it like "The Burned Game."

MWBoS are also mentioned in Fallout 3. "Hard times" but that is all that is mentioned. Could be that the MWBoS just don't want to be found :tops: Who know what happen to them in the 80 years since the events of Tactics. I vote for the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2ZcpcO7C58. They formed outside Chicago five years before Lyons was born ^_^

I know they aren't pre war military but they are prewar and we know they had to of had factory's or a base to create there weapons and ammo before the great war.
Simple answer that sticks to lore

I have Been pondering why they would not fight in a small town besides life or death and my only answer is the enclave are to small of a number (around a few 30 in the South) To be causing trouble. They simply need a plane from the air port. Then they may leave to get any enclave who may still be fighting rally them up and try to regain to US. The Bos do not want to because The reapers hold a valuable source of income For The BoS as there capital town Is Large trading hub. And there Second town contains a weapons factory that would give the reapers a huge advantage over the BoS. Both the BoS and Enclave in the south are small and weak. Thats probably the biggest reason why they do not fight in the reapers 2 towns. (and yes the weapons factory does work it survived and is actually an old Enclave weapon factory shut down a meer hour before the great war)
The reapers Simply wana help the ghouls out and protect the ghouls home (southern hospitality at its finest)
So we actually have 4 mager factions in the airport war. I really wana add more factions to this war to so just a heads up when the new thread comes about
Im thinking of well payed talons on the enclaves side. How ever I have no idea who would go on the BoS side.
I want a 2 v 2 v 2 war
who would be a goo mach to team up with the BoS I wonder.

I ve got a faction did some research too. I can t make big spaces on ps3 like u guys and my pc wont even run this site right so bare with me please. FACTION NAME--------Undead Battalion and basicly what they r is the remains of an actual pre war u.s. marine battalion that was staging to be trasported to help with riots when a nuke landed really close and the ones that didnt die were turned to gouals at that moment. (in nam a infantry battalion was 656 men) I figure Vietnam is close to the fo time split. So lets say 113 died from the nuke 47 went feral and had to be killed by the others, because they didn t want to see them like that and 22 more died from enconters over the years. That leaves us with 474 u.s. marine gouals. They wear normal combat armor and combat helmets. ( throw Raul or Charon in that get up and they look intimidating) They never split up because of the whole brothers in arms thing. continued

ok anyway they have vast pre and post war knowledge of what even the area would be, and some specifics about the build but to the war. They occupy 3 old U.S. military bases and have local comm ability. 1 of the bases houses a ICBM. They know it but the player doesnt, and may never depending on his/her actions. They don t have plans to launch it. They don t want anyone else launching it. This isn t the fo3 ICBM it will fire and its targeted for China. The player can not change it s heading. As for weapons they have all the pre war military toys. No energy weapons, but thiers weapons are 100% repaired no used up 10mm sub like cl. These r soilders they can maintain thier damn weapons so they do max damage. Also the have heavy .50 cal mgs mounted at there bases they can t be moved or carried around. They are stationary defense weapons. They are neutral to the player when the game starts. They are ferociously loyal to each other. They are not main players in the game. countinued

but they will have quests and can get more involved in the game. The Undead Battalion will have 1 regiment commander left fo3 reaver hp. They will have 13 LTs fo nv sm master hp, like 65 fireteam leaders left nv sm brute hp and 395 grunts nv prime legionary hp. all split up over the 3 bases. If u make them hate you they will shoot you on site for the rest of the game. You can never sneak up on them, their snipers have been in the same towers looking at the same areas for like 200 years. u snipe?? their snipers have been sniping people for 200 years u have night vision so do they. While they are pounding you with sniper and 50 cal mg cover fire they will quickly send out fire teams straight up the middle and on both flanks. They believe they are still U.S. Marines until the day they die. They r not kers they will never run all scared and they will fight u over 1 of thier dead bodies until some one is dead, because in their world no one gets left behind. continued

The Undead Battalion won t leave a man to rot in the sun or get scavenged like the NCR or bos do. With the local comm 1 base will send 1/3 of its men to the base under attack. They ll have to run but they ll get there. My faction will be no be a cake walk like cl or the Khans. They ll be equiped and will hurt you and kill you and your followers. These guys r 200 year old soilders. They don t think they re hard they r hard. They will shoot at radiers any crazy creatures and what ever other bad guys r in the game. I guess thats about it. What do u guys think ???? I can take a messege board beating.

They just bought from companies like Poseidon Energy and REPCONN, which Arcade basically says designed the F3 Plasma Rifle for them. They don't make their own stuff, there weren't Enclave lower-class workers in specically Enclave built factories, they just ordered them off companies under the guise of various sections of the US Army.

The Marauders

A few groups of tribals and army remnants banded together in West Virginia and western Virginia in 2134. By the year 2211 they were a major faction in their area and decided to expand from their humble towns. They began taking over all of the surrounding land, killing all who refuse to join them. Eventually they ran into a dozen raider gangs that united to fight them off called the United. The Marauders suffered a major defeat which crippled their military but not their economy. Eventually they had to focus all of their remaining soldiers on the United and the rest to protect the land they already controlled so they could not expand large distances. In the year 2254 Marauder Scouts came across the Capital Wasteland and demanded that their citizens join the Marauders and help them fight the United. They refused and the after the Scouts got back their superiors hired a large amount of Talon Company Mercenaries to keep the Capital Wasteland lawless, in 2275, so that when they had to military might to take over they would not be fighting a country.

Dont have a name, but my idea is based off Mad Max and Hokuto No Ken, which is a raider faction that used off-road vehicles such as ATVs and off-road motorcycles for transportation and combat, they have each mastered the skill of motorized combat, the elite of whom are Motorcycle Snipers, capable of firing a Sniper Rifle or AMR accurately from a motorcycle, there main base is a large crawler that looks like the sandcrawler from Star Wars, which acts as a mobile motor hub, from which they conduct raids. If it get the time* i will elaborate.
