Yes, I did read about World War 2 my friend, that was a war from a long time back, before the Great War even, well, not the first "Great War" that's World War One, World War Two came after that, hence the name... You don't know what I'm talking about do you? In a sentence, I know tech doesn't win out.

Tech may not hold out but it sure helps. Like the bomb. it helped to create the world we live in. or the plane. it helped the bomb that made this world. or the engine. It helped the plane that helped the bomb that created this world.
hahaha tech may not win wars but it does help. Although considering traps ain't useful in the air I think a balloon wins this. I mean have you seen a blimp. Them things are deadly. I mean a huge airborne ship that can drop 20 bombs in one place. unlike a plane that scatters them. that is deadly to any thing.

Well a blimp can be seen for miles, and any fool with a rocket launcher can take one out. Planes on the other hand, are deadly, but need ground co-ordination. Huh, well war was never easy, unless you nuke everything.

Could do like the germans did with the zeppelins in WW1 when they bombed the UK - fly over the clouds at night and drop bombs. The brits didn't know how to take them down, they didn't see them and the planes at the time couldn't take them down... untill some pilot had an SMG loaded with incendiary ammo or something, flew passed the zeppelin and unloaded a few magazines. After a few tries, the zeppelin caught fire and went down like the Hindenburg.

After WW2, America was at the top of popularity in Europe, we've been "saved from evil" twice (after some major persuasion). The wars America fought after that just degraded the popularity everywhere, and now people just go "oh, the world police". But isn't America supposed to be disliked and without allies by the time of the Great War? Then this would make sense if they fought these wars anyways, 100+ years of less and less popularity. But these wars are such big events, alot of things from the divergence of the 50's could have stopped the reasons for the wars. Nevermind. The wars could have happened, only with different technology (lasers in Vietnam, perhaps?). Since Russia isn't mentioned as communist in the Fallout world, since China is the main foe in the Cold War instead of the Soviet Union, then Soviet did fall in 1991 and all that, it's all possible but there are very very very tricky questions and no one can know for sure, only the devs can decide, they could sit down a long while and take up a lot of things between 1959 to 2011 and say if they did happend or not, and what happened instead.
But then again "details are pointless and trivial"... what matters now is the life in post-apocalyptia, 200+ years later. No one would even know about WW2

Brotherhood of the Realm

Humble beginnings.
They were at one time members of the brotherhood but left because the brother hood did not believe old or ancit tech would be helpful.
There leader Knight Merlin saw that the pre war tech was running low and it was getting harder to repair. But only a few in his chapter also saw this. He
Gathered all who agreed with him and they left to Brotherhood. 21 in total left to find ancit tech. Now they are the BoR.

Now
After a month of searching for a new home The found a old castle looking place (it was a old hotel) that had no damage from the bombs. On further investigation The found out it had a shield generator. Probably built to keep this place safe. it also had many laser turrets all out of power. Once they went in all they saw was beauty. There were 3 cleaner bots still working that had some how managed to keep the place Clean and make it look exactly like a old world castle. It was almost unbelievable how this place had been able to survive. They soon made this there home re making there flag. (it looks like the out cast but instead there are 2 swords and the gear is on a shield). They found lots of old armor that was made of a special type of mirror able to deflect laser blast. They modified it with there power armor to strengthen it and make it easier to move. They also found many power cells (around a good 9 million) they think were so pose to be used to turn on the shield. But they used them to make there own weapons.
While the reason for protecting this place is un known the BoR still will make it there home.

Armor
Knight Armor: BoS power armor engine and skeleton put inside the old armor found in the castle to increase mobility. Its resistant to laser damage but takes more damage against plasma.

Weapons
Light Blades:A sword that had the top of the blade cut of and replaced with some of the same metal from the armor. Then 2 small laser emitters on the hilt. (this makes it so the lasers shoot from the emitters into the Mirror metal making it reflect back but increasing the lethal power of the blade. Sadly it cant stab but it can cut threw many a thing. It is only given to there highest ranks

Cross bow: A small cross bow which shoots spears that are used to poison or do great damage from far away.

Revolver: Deadly and easy to reload. Used by all in the BoR

seeing as we have already gotten so close to the end of this thread I thought it be a good idea do draw plans for the next.

the only new thing thats 100% sure of is Ill give a back ground to bar chat. like 5 years have past sense this one ended. or something like that I don't know ill let yall decide the story and ill build apon that.

No top 5 just include all factions and allow people to choose. You picking the top 10 for this thread was kind of a narrow perspective for everyone. So a poll that includes all factions from both threads would be best.

in the first there was 33 and this one so far only 16
while thats a huge decrease Its mainly because more people were in the last and did not return for this one. but for the first 3 pages we made a lot better of a improvement as in the last thread we mainly just pvssyd in this one the first few pages were almost all faction. Im sorta hoping for more factions in the next and even more people.

The Bone Society
A bunch of ghouls/mutants from a pre war palaeontologist group who survived thanks to there museum. A large group of there fossils were destroyed or broken so they made a packed to re build the fossils and re open the museum for post war people. Among some of the fossils that were in the basemant were a large group of frozen creatures. the heat from the bomb sadly melted the ice making the creatures fall out making getting the genetic code from them impossible (as unless they were frozen they would rot). But some frozen eggs survived and were oddly.... alive. The radiation actually revived the eggs and they soon hatchet. Sadly they died but there DNA was ripe for cloning. Soon they had a baby stegosaurus clone. The radiation made him grow oddly but it did not make a difference. a successful clone is a great achievement none the less. They have found many fossils from other museums but lack a Tyrannosaurus Rex skull.

Personnel
Home Base:the team thats stays home to work on the museum
Rick: Leader of the team and he is the only one who can work the cloning device. He is a ghoul.
Greg: A Map maker who has traveled the entire US before the war. He now marks areas the others tell are not safe or useless for the search team.
Fossil: the oldest member of the team and is sadly the most useless as he can't walk or see but he is 100% resistant to radiation and can speak 20 languages. hes a Bone Ghoul (A Ghoul whose skin has decade to the bone on some parts of there body often there bones have started mutating forming horns or new skin)
Gem:The daughter of Jenny and Mike she was born 50 years after the great war when both her parents started to change. She3 is the first known super mutant/Ghoul. She is a super mutant who looks almost like human. The only thing that makes her super mutant is her skin and her god like strength. The ghoul side of her is only see able if you look at her left hand. Shes the youngest of the group and is the only one who uses a pistol and sword. (she would be a fun companion if added to game hint hint Bethesoft)
Plate:A Stegosaurus clone who acts like a guard dog to the museum.

Away team: They leave home to find fossils that may be to far to walk. They use a Old fashion Vertibird that they fixed up from the museum to travel and spend little time at home. (just saying but the made the vertibird solar power)
John: The leader of the team and A Gun nut. He can tell you about every prewar gun. Hes a Ghoul.
Jenny: A women of few words but is very smart. She fell in love with Mike and become a mother 50 years after the the great war. she is a Ghoul.
Mike: The muscle man of the group he use to be a foot ball player who took many steroids. Once the fossil hunt began he offered him self as a body guard (really just to protect his girl). He is a super mutant.
Clock: A Robot whos used to Pilot the Vertibird.

Now.
They Have gotten word that there's a museum In DC that has a Tyrannosaurus skeleton and have asked the BoS in the area for permission to go there. The BoS have not agreed to guard the Away Team so they are awaiting some one to come and act as a back up higherd gun. (hint hint again this would be a great way to revisit DC's Under world, Lincoln memorial, Washington monument, and the Museum of history.)
