Also, it is pretty isolated in the timeline, and i place it somewhere near Texas, so i really dont know of any factions nearby, but perhaps the MWBoS, not really sure, i dont want to conflict with the lore of Tactics.


Isn't MWbos a lot further north then texas? :huh:

It's pretty good, however I feel the bit about the nanotech is a little out of place in Fallout, which is frustrating because it's pretty much integral to the faction. :sadvaultboy:

Faction Name: Republic Of Alaska, or ROA

Faction Morality: Good

Theme: Military, Frontier

Followers: US Military stationed on the Anchorage Front. Pre War Citizens of Alaskan towns and Cities. Vault 113, filled with 100 of the greatest Pre War minds of the United States(Scientist and Engineers). Unlike this Vault, it had know experiment and its orders were to guard the last greatest Pre-War minds. Many were cryogenically frozen to prevent aging. The Enclave was supposed to mount an expedition to Vault 113 on 2242 but were defeated.

Allies: New California Republic or NCR is ROA most trusted ally. Alaskan Brotherhood of Steel came in contact with ROA on 2078 on the Brotherhood of Steel Northern Expedition. ROA found out that there group were survivors of the US Military. They were granted to build bunkers in there territory under one condition, that it is there given right and the US Military to fight against the Chinese. They have a good relationship and manufactures there weapons and armor while they get access to T-51B Power Armor. The Republic of Channel Islands is another trusted ally of the ROA. They are helping out the ROA against the UCMR.

Enemies: United Chinese Communist Republic or UCCR is ROA most hated enemy and have been at war with them ever since of the Winter of 2066. Caesar Legion is the ROA enemies. When 100 Alaskan tourist traveled to Vegas, they were captured and enslaved. The ROA immediately sent 3 battalion of troopers to New Vegas to help NCR push out Caesar Legion. Hostile Groups

Location: Juneau Alaska.

Technology and Organization The Republic of Alaska Armed Forces or ROAAF are on par with New California Republic Army and UCSR but have some slight advantages. They have access to Pre War Tech, vehicles and even a small navy and Air Force. They mainly use conventional military weapons. Energy weapons are limited reserved for Rangers though they can pick whatever they want. They have only 10 Pre War Aircraft and 5 Pre War Navy Ships. The military is separated into 4 groups. Regular Fighting Force, Regular Fighting Force Support(Doctors, Engineers, Supply, etc) Special Forces, and Logistic Support.

Republic Of Alaska Army

ROA Trooper. These are the backbone or the army. Due to the war with the UCCR, all teenagers at the age of 15 are required to go to basic training a learn how to use firearms. Recruits then can join at the age of 17.
ROA Combat Armor and Helmet with mask. Has been modified to withstand the Cold Temperature of Alaska.

ROA Sniper. To be a ROA Sniper, they must have pass a accuracy test in basic training. If they pass, they become a combat sniper.

Republic of Alaska Special Forces

Republic of Alaska Rangers or ROAR: These are the elite of ROAAF. Only eighty percent The rangers are recruited from the best of the ROA military and even then, 80% do not finish training and drop out. Those that pass are awarded with a ribbon recognizing that they are "deadlier than a Alaskan Bear." Rangers do police work, major assaults, and guarding high ranked officials. They also are trained to survive in the Alaskan Wilderness. They are also the only group, reserved to use Laser Weapons though they can pick whatever they want.

ROAR Ranger: These are your basic ROAR rangers.
ROAR Ranger Armor and Helmet with mask. Combat Armor which just says ranger.
Anything they prefer, Laser Weapons or Conventional weapons.

Republic of Alaska Shadow Company: The ROASC is a special forces group designed for spying, assassination missions, sabotage, and hit and run attacks. Many Shadow Soldiers must be a Ranger or a distinguished soldier. Only 25% make it. Even some elite Rangers failed the test. They are feared and loathed throughout the UCMR as they are responsible for many losses. The only ones that are on par with them is the Chinese Hei Gui Units. After passing the training, they are given a badge. Soldiers are supposed to be cold and calculating, they have no room for the more irrelevant and impulsive emotions, and only think about how to accomplish one mission or the next. If captured, many are not supposed to give out information and must die with it. Each are given codenames and are not supposed to use there real names. There motto is" The Omen of Death in the New World."

Goal: Eradicate Communism and rebuilding the United States.

Alaskan Wasteland: The Alaskan Wastes were not entirely hit by nukes so its enviroment is still ok. Nuclear Winter happens every year during the December to January. There are 3 parts of the Alaskan Wastes. To the North lies many independent cities, bot the ROA and UCMR wish to get these communities. Western Alaska is Controlled by the UCCR and Eastern Alaska and Southern Alaska controlled by the ROA and also were the Alaskan BOS bunkers are.

Life In Alaska: Alaska Quality of Life is good. They have radio stations, tv stations and power. They get there source op power from many sources. Mainly Geo-Thermal energy. Other includes Windmill and Pig [censored] which contains methane. The goverment is similar to Pre War US. Cities are the largest and there are 2 types. Metropolitan cities having large populations and bringing in money and Industrial cities is where all manufacturing are. Towns are relied for Agricultural and other stuff. Frontier villages are relied on for bringing in resources and food. Settlement each have a garrison. Cities have the largest containing 400 soldiers. 100 in towns and 50 in villages. There housing style includes Apartments and Suburbs for cities, towns and villages have wooden houses.


History :fallout:: Ever since the Winter of 2066 the US has been at war with China. The Chinese managed to repel a large American Assault, though on 2077, the Chinese were on the retreat and losing supplies and men. General Constantine Chase, Commander of US Military in Alaska pushed on to eliminate the Chinese Army retreating. On October 23 2077, the US Alaskan Army confronted the Chinese Army at Macgrath. Though disaster struck and the bombs dropped. One hit the US Army preparing to fight the Chinese Army and were obliterated. While that the Chinese Army knew this and retreated and used POW dressed in Chinese clothing to be bait. They also loss General Chase due to of the explosion. After that, the military helped stabilize control to cities hit by the bombs and General Chase 2nd in command General Decker, became commander of all surviving Alaskan Forces. He then met with the mayors, congresspeople and governors for the future of Alaska. It was decided that the Republic of Alaska to be formed, with General Decker being President. He first then sent soldiers to scout out towns past Macgrath, and a shocking truth was revealed. The Chinese Army survived and were taking control of towns past Macgrath. Confused of how they survived, they investigated Macgrath and found out they retreated and used POW dressed in Chinese clothing to be bait. After hearing this, President Decker focused on building up the military to combat the Chinese. The first battle for the ROA was at Rampart and won. Though the ROA underestimated them thinking the Chinese Army were ill equipped. They were wrong as the Chinese had reinforcements on ships from China which was sent by the President Xin to let the Chinese Army survive and create the United Chinese Maoist Republic or UCMR. The war dragged on. By 2088, both sides were ready for a major battle to be the turning point of Alaska.

Fallout New Vegas History: On 2282, the ROA entered New Vegas after the capture of its citizens heading for Vegas by Caesar Legion. They currently set up a base in Vegas outskirts called Camp Kodiak with an airfield.

Character: The Mercenary's info is unknown but he was a soldier before the war and was Chinese-American. He has mixed feelings about Communism and Democracy.
Pre Fallout Quest

For Alaska: You are approached by a ROA scout and is asked if they can hire you. You then go to ROA Juneau HQ and are asked to help them out and are willing to pay you 10000 caps to help them defeat the UCMR. Colonel Astor tells you to head to Camp Broken Falls, the turning point for the war. Your first task is to take control of Norak with the help of ROA Troopers. Your 2nd task is to go to Camp Fox and interrogate a Chinese prisoner. Thinking???

Taking out the Trash: Go to the ROASC HQ, ask for work, you will then be led to Gray Fox, Head Assasin. He tells you 5 targets need to be assasinated and there heads brought in as proof.

Zero's Collection Agency: Go to ROASC HQ. Kill UCCR troops and get there dog tags and collect fallen ROA dog tags. You get caps and free ammo or medicine. Repeatable Quest

Gonna do the UCMR and then work on quests

Some were simple but made sense and made it
some made it just by sere force and proved there worth

I think he just want to help people, even if they don't want or need it. Ofcourse he helps them to get a better world to live in for himself but that helps others, maybe not those who fight but their children and their childrens childern. He didn't have a faschist state did he? People don't get killed for no reson by the imperials?

Really good faction. He seems like the master, the only thing to help people :biggrin:

actually, RobCo had actually invented integrated circuits before the big boom, but the public preferred vacuum tubes for their "reliability", trust me, i have done a lot of lore checking and reviews, it isn't that far stretched.

* Flexible Power Armor (Don't get the wrong idea, this is not a true power armor, it's a custom armor for one specific member in this faction, the armor itself is no bigger than a Combat Armor MK II, it's just that this member has a very fragile body and has to use this powered armor to even move around in, so it's a unique design.)

Apparel
Citizens of Blood City are allowed to wear whatever they want to wear but everyone has to wear a coloured leather glove on one hand, the color indicates what kind of citizen it is and where he/she is allowed to venture in Blood City, the glove is of a unique detailed design and is very very hard to forge.

8. Organization.

Summary:
The Blods is a nation of Blods, Blood Citizens and Blood Slaves.
Their beliefs, the Blods that is, is that the world is now in pieces and it's up to humanity to clean up and recycle what's left.

Population:
There are around 3000 citizens, around 200 Blods and around 600 slaves.

Blods military:
Blods do not have a lot of members in their military but all of those that they have have gotten top notch training and are all experts in a lot of areas.
Blods don't do "full on battle", they use strategies and guerilla warfare.
They also deal a lot with traps, sniping, demolition and decoys.
Truth is, if you ever see a Blod out in the wastes then you're probably already in the scope of another Blod member.
They're quality over quantity.
Doesn't mean that they're stupid though, if an army were to attack their city then it's quantity>quality, so most citizens of Blood City are given training in combat, so while they're usually civilians they are also their own army if the city were to be attacked.
But mostly it's the true Blods member which roll out in packs of dozens into the wastes to search for more things to recycle.
A pack of Blods can easily take out an entire gang stronghold though.
Hell, a pack of Blods could take on an entire city, they would probably not be able to conquer it on their own, but they're like rats, they crawl in the shadows and stay hidden until they decide to strike.
Basically, think of the Predator (from the Arnold Schwarzenegger flick.), that's what a blod is, now imagine a pack of a dozen set loose on a city.
They wouldn't be stupid enough to attract too much attention, it would take weeks, maybe months of people dying before even noticing that Blods are attacking them.
Not to fret though, the weakness of the Blods is their low numbers, if they are caught off guard then they are very vulnerable.

Laws:
Blods are very direct and cruel with their laws in order to strike fear and order into it's citizens.
They also do not believe in jail, instead they think that people that has done crimes and are allowed to live should work their sentence off, but they consider calling it "work release program" to be untrue and just calls it slavery.
*Forced intimacy (the real word is censored) has the offender put in shackles in the city square where citizens are to stone him (or her) to death.
*Murder, a murderer is executed by reverse hanging. (They put the snare around the neck then have a powerful and fast device pull him/her upwards so fast that it breask the neck.)
*Stealing, depending on what was stolen and if he/she hurt the one he/she stole it from he/she might get anywhere from 1 month to 2 years in slavery.
*Trespassing, since Blods are at... War... With other factions the first time someone trespasses they just give the person a firm slap on the bum and lets them on their way, they do so so that the trespasser might let his/her guard down since he/she will think they are bad at guarding their city, the second time someone trespasses they are brought in for question, if the person is not found guilty he/she is put back on the streets, if he/she trespasses once more then Blods have his/her throat slit and fed to the Rad-Pigs.
*Assault, it depends on the situation but if someone seriously damages someone else, broken ribs, punctured organs, then the offender is put into slavery for 6 months to 5 years depending on how bad it was, if it's just a barfight and noone had any truly serious injuries then they're not charged but they are refused medical treatment out of principle, so no stimpacks if you decide to hit someone in a bar.
*Chem usage or drinking without a license to do so is charged by slavery from 1 month to 4 months.

Slave treatment:
There are two camps of slaves, the disciplined camp and the marked camp.
The disciplined camp are filled with slaves bought from Cayer's Slavers Guild and other slaves they have conquered.
These slaves are treated good, they get their own beds, a good set of meals, they're even allowed to play cardgames and dice in their quarters, sure they aren't exactly "free" but they are treated very good, unless... Unless they disobey orders or try to escape, if they do that they will be put in the marked camp.
The marked camp works along side the disciplined camp, but they are treated far worse, this camp consists of criminals or conquered raiders/bandits or people from the disciplined camp that has decided to not follow orders or tried to escape.
The marked camps' slaves all have a tattoo of a one quarter moon on their foreheads.
Why they work alongside of the disciplined camp is because while they treat the disciplined camp very well they need to strike fear into their hearts, they need to show what can happen to them if they decide to not follow the rules.
Marked slaves can, if disobeying enough orders, be shot during their duties.
The disciplined camps' slaves are all given 2 years to work, after two years are over for a slave he/she is set free.
The Marked Camps slaves are given 5 to 10 years to work, after those years are over he/she is also set free.
Either to become a Blood Citizen, or to just wander out into the wasteland, their choice.

Economy:
Blood City is prosperous in every corner, they have huge water purifiers and water condensation units in vast amounts, they have farms that spread out far, tons of farm animals too.
Due to them recycling everything that is "junk" they have aquired a ridiculous amount of resources compared to others and have very skilled craftsman, technicians and engineers from Leason that work for them.
There is little to no fault in their economy.

Production:
Due to the Blods success they have had people come to their city from afar that wants the protection they can offer them.
Because of that they have so much knowledge collected in one place and so many resources at hand that they can produce anything from forks to jet to gun powder to energy cells to pacifiers.
And not only that but thanks to the people from Leason they have knowledge of revers engineering, so they are constantly looking for factories to disassemble and bringback to Blood City and rebuild it piece by piece.

Recycling process:
When Blods members have found something to recycle, be it a car or an entire apartment complex, they gives their intel to their leaders who then order an expedition.
This is what the slaves are used for, depending on what it is they're going to recycle they send an amount of slaves fit for the amount of items they're going to bring back.
Often two to four Leason contractors are sent with them to oversee the disassembling.
Whenever they find something of value, like let's say a water purifier, then they need to pick it apart piece by piece and be very careful with it's parts and remember it's design so that they can reassemble it back at Blood City.
The really hard work for both slaves, Blods and Leason contractors is when they find a small town of over 70 houses that they need to recycle, that can be hell for all three parties, for these occasions civilians are asked to work alongside the slaves, most civilians accept because the pay is very very high.

Citizens:
Citizens when accepted into Blood City are given an apartment for free and a list of available jobs, they are offered medical treatment if hurt and rehabilitation if an addict.
Citizens of Blood City has many entertainment venues like gambling, cigar lounges, gentlemen clubs, theater's, straight up bars and sports like "Molerat Race", Blood Arena and Unmentionables Brawl.
Generally citizens are happy within Blood City's walls.
They're well fed, has jobs, roof over their heads and even entertainment which is hard to come by in the wasteland.
Only thing that might turn people off is the cruel executions and slavery, but once one can get past those it's a truly great place to live in.

Conquering methods:
Blods have their set area around their city where they recycle everything they find to bring back, from paper clips to car doors to mailboxes.
Thing is, if Blods expand their border (which they will) then if you're on their land they will give you 3 choices, either you join Blood City, either you get the hell out of their area or you will be killed.
They have zero tolerance for discussion, if it's their area then it's their area, and they will continue their conquering quest of the lands no matter who is in the way.

Disposition of the dead:
Anyone who dies in Blood City has their corpse fed to the pigs.
The pigs eat the corpse and craps.
The crap is used as fertilizer for the farms.
Why they do this is because they consider it unnecessary to let meat go to waste.
But since they're not cannibals they're not going to eat the bodies of the dead.
Instead they're fed to the pigs, that way they don't have to feed pigs with other products which serve humans more.
It's practical, resourceful and economical while also very immoral.

Future:
Blood City is of course not going to be the Blods only city.
Their plans are to take over Kodiak and turn it into their second city.
Then do the same process that they have done around Blood City's area.
After they're done with Kodiak then they will move on to the next.


9. History.
In 2249 a mercenary group known as the Blod Chevy Mercs roamed the north of Scottsbluff where they fared war against a big mafia organization who had taken over the towns. After the war was over they decided to set up a new HQ in Scottsbluff, they set up water purifiers and started basic farming to keep themselves selfreliant, over time people came to this town and offered to help them with the farming and other duties while they did what their real jobs were. The Blods leader Blod Chevy had by the start of this rebirth of the town become ill and dying. His testament to the other Blods was to instead of just moving from faction to faction taking the "evil" ones down that they should set an example and be a beacon of light for the people of the wastes.
When he passed the group changed name to Blods in honor of their leader.

They began to recruit people from other towns, especially engineers and construction workers from Leason, their town grew tremendously fast as everyone helped out in rebuilding the ruins. A leadership structure was set up that the five eldest Blod members were to make the decisions for the people, the city and Blods themselves, the first and foremost decision for Blods was to recycle.
A decision which has been greatly beneficial but also cost them allies.

In 2291 their currently in dispute with several factions, one being the Wasteland Children, a city of super mutants which are their closest neighbours.
They've had several clashes with The Creepers, a terrorist faction which seemingly only wants to cause chaos to the area.
Though rare they have had clashes with The Brotherhood Of Steel, due to the BOS' code they aren't exactly getting along.
In the past they often clashed with Talon Company over merc contracts, though not so much anymore there are still old grudges still alive.
Their foremost enemy is Kodiak, a merchant organization which wishes to unify the towns with trading and security have their roots in that city, Blods have repeatably tried to make them change their mind about having Kodiak be Blods second city but to no avail, war is imminent.
Now Justice Union on the other hand is tricky, they know that this faction exist and knows what they are capable of, but they also know that making them an enemy would be costly, so they're trying to avoid contact until they're ready to make a diplomatic deal with them.

They have gained allies though.
Legion from the south, Dog Town, has shown interest in Blods and sent diplomats to gain intelligence about what the Blods stand for and what their views are, and they have been pleased, while not in direct contact with each other they have an alliance raised for when their borders reach each other.
The tribals of Kayak Mountains also earned respect for the Blods, they're guardians of the cursed Bloodlands, when other groups have arrived to bloodlands they have always caused war for them and the Blood-Men, but the Blods respected their wishes about leaving Bloodlands alone and has since been in an alliance with both the tribals and the Blood-Men.
They're in a bind now though, Justice Union has waged war on the lawless tribals and Blods might risk a lot helping the tribals while risking a lot by not helping them too.
They don't approve of how Cayer's Slavers Guild treats their slaves or how their methods for catching slaves is, but they still have an agreement over the slave purchase, Blood City needs slaves for the recycling process and Cayer's Slavers Guild brings them.

Kingdom of Texarkana

Controls: Eastern Texas, Southern Oklahoma and as far east as the Mississippi River.

Started out as several rival citie states in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. One city region had power and wealth that came from Brahmin as well as its fields of corn. The Citie State of Texarkana. Merchants flocking to the region made the kings rich. Merchants often paid in using pre-war Tech and weapons. In 2153 their king set out to put an end to the various raider groups based in the ruins of Dallas. After a bloody seven year war to put down the raider groups, Texarkana was victories. Their numbers grew as well as their wealth of tech descovered from pre-war store houses and militay bases. Vaults that were once bases for raiders became theirs. Over the next few decades the Kingdom expanded.

They have an organised standing army that use a wide range of weapons including energy weapons. They often send out scouting groups across the Mississippi and West into New Mexico. The goal is to assess other factions they come across. Merchants, diplomats follow the scouts. Waves of pioneers follow.

Texarkana uses prisoners as slaves or for front line soldiers.

Known Allies:

Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel. Scouting units came across the group known as the Brotherhood in 2202 outside of Scott City Kansas. This was a shock to the scouts, early reports taken just years earlier reported an independent city, well armed but low tech. Encountering the soldiers in metal armour armed with heavy weapons as well as Robots.

In 2205 a trade deal was finally struck with the Brotherhood. Trade with this group supplied the Texarkana with advanced pre-war tech. Four times a year a caravan would leave Texarkana for Scott City loaded with raw material.

In 2224 Texarkana came incontact with a group known as the Mutant Liberation Army. Scott City was under their control. Attempts to talk with this group were unsuccessful. The Caravan was attacked by heavily armed "super mutants." The caravan guards and army detachment were destroyed. Only a few managed to make it back. One of the Texarkana diplomates was sent back with a message from this Mutant group. "The people of your lands are not welcome here! For years you added our enemies in the murder of our kind. Do not return."

Since 2223, no contact with the Brotherhood of Steel has been made.

Moonshiners: A group of traders and settlers that occupy lands east of the Mississippi River. Texarkana trades large amounts of corn with them and in return receive large amounts of alcohol. They are well armed and know the land well. They are peaceful. Leaders of Texarkana have been in talks to annex their settlements. They don't want to risk open war with them for alot of money is made in trade with them.

Known Enemies:

Mutant Liberation Army: After the unprovoked massacre in Scott City, Texarkana has sent army units to protect settlements in the north. In 2230 a group was sent to take Scott City. It was found razed to the ground and the ruins heavly trapped. Since then the area has been left unsettled.

Merchants that operate in the area from time to time report attacks from Mutants.

The Legion: Not much is known about this group. Attempts of starting trade with tribals in New Mexico are being hindered by "The Legion." Scouts report people being taken as slaves, including Texarkanan merchants and pioners.

The Fallen

They are usually neutral but can make choices that some would consider evil.

They control the southern half of the former state of Vermont and have scouts all the south to Viriginia and all the way west to Chicago.

They have a strained relationship with the Commonwealth and are enemies of Ronto.

They wear a modified version of combat armor that is dark red with a picture of a black circle with a spike inside of it. They mainly use hunting shotguns and assault rifles with 9 and 10mm pistols and machetes as sidearms.

The Fallen believe themselves (and all wastelanders) to be an impure race and their only reason of surviving is to serve the vault dwellers, the former Overseer of Vault 120 (a Vault that was given only twenty people)

Zoo Followers


The Zoo Followers are a group a raiders who were wondering the waste when all of asudone they find a large place with the word Zoo on the front gate. They find out many people from the past had come here to ray or worship something. They go in finding many creatures (all mutated) they have never seen before. They Figured Zoo was a God of some sorts that had created these creatures to show his power. They soon learned to tame the creatures reading books on how to take care of them in some of this places buildings. The creatures they had were called
Lions:a Large 2 headed cat with a main that was fierce and took 3 months to train and had killed the 5 of the groups scouts. There Leader Jacob Took the Lion's and uses them as his own guards

Rhinos:Large Heavy 5 horned creatures that Can Take large damage. There used with heavy assault men and have auto turrets on there back.

Wolves:Like normal dogs but there teeth are a little larger and a hole lot meaner.

Tortoises:The largest of the creatures in this place and the hardest to kill. They are not used for any combat but are used to set up small shops as the can lift and entire building on there back.

History of the Raider Clan.
Jacob Got the raider clan from his father short after dieing(as he was a only child). After words Jacob married a young girl in the clan named Jenny (who was only 16 at the time while Jacob was 20) They had 2 daughters (Jess and Sluut) and 1 son (Bob). The 2 daughters were soon turned to [censored]s for Bob as tradition goes in the clan. With Jacob in command the raiders grew to a total of 100 men and women. They use to be wonder gatherers intell they discovered the zoo. They soon grew into a form of cult and many of the members even learned to read.

Ranks
King:Leader of the whole clan
Prince:Future leader of the clan
Queen/Princess: Eather is the sister to the king turned Sleeper or one who the king married.
Golden Hunter: One of the best Hunters in the clan and are given Rhino skin Armor and a Great hammer or sword. They ether command a group of 3 or are alone.
Heavy:A Person who normally is exstreamly fat. They arnt good for hunting but are strong. There given tortoise shell armor and normally use Rockets or sub machine guns.
Hunter:A normal soldier in the clan only using a Hunting rifle.
Scout:while being the lowest rank in soldier class They are hard to get into as you must have surton skills and are given there own pet wolf
Trader:Being the highest civilian Rank they are almost as rich as the king
Farmer:They only provide small food for the clan and get paid little.
Sleepers:treated like trash and the lowest of any rank. They make the least and is only for women. This job is extramly hated how ever many women take it as there afraid of death.


There true location is unknown However there traders have been seen trading with Legion and some southern factions. Its Thought they are located in Texas but its still unknown.

There allied with The Legion. The only person who knows there location is and the person is Caesar him self but He has gone missing.
