I am just curious. I have been the GOOD guy since the begining of the game. I hide when I steal and haven't been caught or killed anyone GOOD. But I noticed that the Powder Gang attacked me so I have been killing them and went to the prison to kill them there as well. BUT, I also noticed that everything I take is red and now I am Evil?? What is going on? Help pls.

the powder gang away from the prison are hostile towards you, if you don't attack first while at the prison they won't attack you, at least they didn't attack me, also the prison was once the NCR's place so you are essentially stealing from them. at least thats how i look at it, i could very well be wrong, but i don't believe the convicts there originally had control of it...

Karma is wacked, from what I've seen so far. In Primm, where the initial sheriff and his wife are dead...why should that be listed as owned? By whom???
Yet folks like the doc that rescues you in Goodspring....you would be silly not to steal everything (including the SMG) from the start. Yet none of his items are RED.
