I'm Security for sure even if my friends are otherwise because if they are i can pwnt them (lul) and if not i can aid them but i like security because they look kool and I'm usually against any form authority but i thought hey they got a solid reason protecting their way of life

I will undoubtedly play as both. However, I think my main will be Security. I love the idea of maintaining order at all cost, and the idea of unifying the Ark in an effort to save the lives of all aboard (even if it means killing a few in the process B) ).

Although in real life I consider myself much more libertarian, in the gaming and fictional world there are few things that get me excited more than Hobbesian philosophy (any structure is better than the State of Nature [aka Anarchy]).

Anyone else kinda feeling a poll for this topic? I really wanna count the numbers and see how the balance is tipped.

Let's be honest, if anyone can afford the mercenaries, it would be Security. Still, I think Sec/Resi/Merc/Undecided would work.

Let's be honest, if anyone can afford the mercenaries, it would be Security. Still, I think Sec/Resi/Merc/Undecided would work.

There has been a war poll before (It had maybe 5-7 continuation threads). Between all of the factions, it was pretty balanced.

I see no problem in it either, but since the last big one was locked there hasn't been another big one. Maybe one day there will be another Poll War.

Mercenaries aren't always just looking for goods from one side, and it depends on what said payment consists of and also said mercenary's views are.
And if the Resistance didn't know said mercenary worked for Security, they would hire him in a second if they really needed it.

In my experience, somebody like that wouldn't hire somebody for an objective they could complete themselves.

A mercenary's views are looking at what benefits him/her. Me, I'd be looking at who's gonna win, so that when they do, I've got a solid business partner to secure some further paychecks from.
