Faendal keeps double crossing me

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 9:26 am

Sometimes when I attack random friendly NPC's to kill them, Faendal will become hostile to me and begin attacking me.

Is this a bug?

Doesn't he have some moral code? He wouldn't pick a lock once in someone's place. He just kept saying, "We're not supposed to be in here" or something. The big baby.

Yeah, he's one of the only followers who will get angry if you break the law. If you're going to murder people, I'd find a different one.

Sven sure doesn't give a crap.

Hmm, maybe his morality is set too high. I don't remember having that problem, but then again, I wasn't murdering people (much) at the time.

If you're on PC try (I forget if this one actually works. I know that some others do...)

What are some good lockpicking/violent followers?

Lydia didn't seem to mind me stealing some stuff from a shack/house (can't remember) once, though the owner did attack me first once I figured out what they were hiding in their cellar. Not sure if that would make a difference.

I generally leave my companion behind or have them wait if I'm going to be up to no good. By "no good" I mean carrying out my Thieves Guild jobs ;)

He's a pretty lawful follower, he doesn't like doing illegal stuff so don't take him on those missions unless you want him to attack you/turn you in to the guards.

He's an archer, not a thief or assassin. Take one of the Thieves Guild/DB, or maybe hire Janessa in Whiterun instead.
