Failing Fallout: New Vegas

Post » Fri Aug 26, 2011 9:12 am

My answer to ‘Fallout Fatigue’ with Fallout 3 was to start a blog where I created a character who was as average as possible, and then had him try and live like a real person in the wastes. It was based on the rather excellent Living in Oblivion (http://livinginoblivion.wordpress.com/)
I tried eating, drinking, no running, no heroic quests, no fast travel, no loading... and the goal was really just to make enough food/money to survive.

Not sure if anyone remembers the original, but I've started one in New Vegas.

It's intersting so far. New Vegas is the better game by far, but the world is less suited to this 'off topic' faffing about.
Anyhow, we'll see how we go!

Priceless.

Man - a lot harder in New Vegas.

Fallout 3 had every idea of what might be 'cool' all just tossed in there. It was easy to have Joe live in the cracks.
But Vegas is a real world, and the whole place is freaking out. There are far less places that aren't connected to and a part of what's happening.

Thinking that Joe might need to visit Zion.

I don't have twitter, well I did. But I deleted it.

I do love your blog though. But one thing has been nagging me. I find it incredibly tedious having to click every link to find the page I didn't read. Could you possibly add page numbers that one can click on?

I'm not sure... I'll have a poke about and see...
If it helps, if you head to the front page there is a little calendar that you can click on to jump right to a specific date.

I do something similar with my characters, except I just design them to be as real of a person as possible. They are always talented however.

I never realized there was a calendar. That might work. Thanks. I love your Failing Fallout blogs, they are hilarious.
