Falcor Mod Project

Post » Sun May 29, 2011 12:35 am

My friend and I are looking for some serious people that will help us with one of the largest map mods currently under construction. My friend is experienced with AI and programming paths, and I'm pretty good with landscaping (one of the best Far Cry 2 map makers).

This isn't some poorly made mod, this is the real deal, and we need people to help. Your name will definitely be included in the credits, and if donations are made, you will absolutely get your cut.

If your not good with the editor, please sign up and generate some ideas.
Ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Also, I'm a little curious (re: apprehensive) in regards to the donations tidbit. There will be no cuts because modders (while able to accept donations freely given), may not accept compensation for their work--i.e. you can't charge for the mod. If you meant something else entirely, then my apologies.

Finally, I'm going to repeat what needs to be said: you need to treat this project as if you (or your team thus far) were the ONLY ones working on the mod. Most modders are already busy working on other projects or their own projects, and advertising that "We don't really have that many ideas as of now, but the main theme is supposed to be a war torn world where there is a constant attack of many enemies." is not exactly an incentive for them to contribute their time and effort.

The proof is in the pudding, and you'll have to put a lot of your own blood, sweat, and tears into the project before you'll be able to grab other modders to contribute.
