Fallen Earth!

Post » Fri Jul 03, 2009 4:59 am

Check out Fallen Earth. It is an upcoming MMORPG/Shooter. What in the world. I hope they don't steal your thunder gamesas. I do have to admit it looks pretty good. You have got to up the anti a little. Take it over the top and smash these Fallout wannabes. Here is a link to a youtube vid of somebody playing the Beta.

A game aiming to destroy another game rarely becomes good (many games have tried to be wow killers but none have succeeded). Image

I know I was just trying to light the fires under the developers and help give them some motivation to take their game to the next level. As with all games there are competitors Fallout already wins with at least 13 years headstart on cornering the market of Post Apocalyptic role playing games. They have the tools now just to see the house they build. Image

i dont judge a game by its graphics, ive sacrifised graphics for smoother gameplay plenty of times, but fallen earth is really a stab in the eye. glad you agreed with me on that one ;) In gaming terms... Life's a die, then you bich.

I really feel like posting something positive about the game in question. As people seem to bash it for no reason, wasteland should look like a wasteland. Have much to say, but I leave it to that. And that was kind of an advice for gamesas as well. Although as you are working with Masthead, I'm assuming we're going to see slightly more colorful world. Looking at the pictures/screenshots of their other project kinda gives you that idea.

Not going to go into detail or anything so as not to side-track but I want to add my opinion so that gamesas doesn't do the same thing...
Please please please do NOT do pvp zones...
Open world pvp is a MUST!!!
That's what true sandbox means!

In town there can either be guards that protect citizens or make towns safe from pvp.
Though since pickpocket will probably be one of the skills I vote that towns have guard zones but do not enforce a non-pvp district.

Like make it so that in town players can call upon the guards if they think they were stolen from or if they were attacked. The guards can use some super-dee-duper one shot rifle or something.

That's my 2 cents.

This forum isn't for discussion of non-gamesas games. Thanks!
