Guys, we're having a discussion about what we're an Inquistion for.

Such as: We fight fight for _____, but if you do not aid us, you will fall with those who oppose us! or You spread lies about our cause for _____ and have commited heresy, die!

What is the cause? What is the reason?

Post your idea's, and what you think caused us to fight for it?

My character's bio for those who don't know, taken from another character sheet and cut short:

A broken shell of a man only consumed with the desire for vengeance against all those who were responsible for the destruction of the Enclave. He has little time for recreation outside of a glass of scotch and an occasionally game of cards with one of the wasters when it is too late to go out and perform his usual activities which involve planting C4 under NCR Troopers beds and laying ambushes for lonely patrols.

Bio: Born aboard the Enclave Oil Rig on November 15th, 2222, in the prestigious Sutler familiy, a political dynasty stretching back to the Enclave's very conception, Alan received all the comforts available; he was the under-21's pool champion, academically successful and dreamed of a few tours of duty on the mainland before returning with a sackfull of medals to pull the dames before continuing his studies and joining his father in the scientific career. He found he acceled in combat sims and eventually attained the rank of Specialist with a a specialisation in marksmanship, particularly in pistols.

He eventaully was posted to an elite branch of the Enclave Oil Rig Security called the ECC, the Enclave Control Company, and took part in several black ops missions on the mainland to remove local communities from the vicinity of Navarro and make them appear as radier attacks to discourage resettlement. He was stationed on the Oil Rig under his Sergeant Granite on the day the Oil Rig exploded and inadvertantly aided the Chosen One to escape; it was not until the squad reached the mainland that Sutler realised that he had helped the man who had just killed almost everyone he knew escape justice...

Once they reached the chaos that was post-Oil Rig Navarro, Sutler found that he was taken pity on an Officer by the name of Gannon and his wife whom welcomed him into their quarters instead of the regular barracks, he eventually managed to get himself asigned to Gannon's squad which was led by Captain Kreger and quickly became friends with all of the squad, with the exception of a traitorous trooper named Johnson conversly he became firm friends with Orion Moreno. Sutler still remained friends with his oldest pal Augustus Autumn but grew distant from Granite and his old squad whom seldom spoke and eventually Granite and another member of the squad were sent to new outposts in Chicago and in DC respectively.

When the NCR attacked Navarro Sutler was one of the last to leave, though mostly due to hopeless denial, he was pinned against the perimeter fence behind a ruined plasma turret when he saw Kreger and the squad along with Gannon's widow and their infant son for the last time, at first he was angry with them for deserting him but when they came under fire a moment of clarity finally broke through the rush of the battle and he told them to run whilst he covered, he had ran out of ammo and was wielding an NCR rifle, Moreno unclipped his holster and through his Glock to Sutler with the words "Go out in style you magnificent bastard!" Sutler laughed and told him "Navarro will not be the end of me friend now go!" he leant out of cover and fired several shots and when he returned to the cover of the turret, they were gone.

When he finally gave up the ghost near the end, Sutler fled into the wastes but never found Kreger, he insted, fueled by the loss of everything he had ever knew launched a one-man offensive on the developing settlement of New Arroyo where he knew the Chosen One was located, he fought him viciously in a brawl, Sutler in his Advanced Power Armour, the Chosen One in a stolen suit of Advanced Power Armour desecrated with tribal patterns. Sutler eventually fled as gaurds came but swore he would return before he conducted the usual Sutler ritual and euthanised himself when he felt he had accomplished everything he wanted.

He likes to wear suits and ties, which helps translate his business attitude. He also moonlights as a doctor, and surprisingly, he's very good at what he does. Being well rounded in all things non-combat related, he's a valuable asset for the wounded, or when things need to be sold.

He left the anarchy of New Vegas and go to the rumoured 'Land of Law' called New California Republic. Finding them to be obnoxiously beauracratic, he wandered the wastes for days, trading high end goods to earn a living, upon reaching the massive outpost by sheer chance, he showed off his wares, his skills as a merchant and business man being seen immediately, his high value as a doctor only added to his being a rare gem of use.

Bio: Growing up as an orphan was hard for Billy, in a wasteland where day to day survival is a struggle no one payed much attention to him. In his early teens he tagged along with a group calling themselves the Thieves Guild, who wished to relive the tales they had heard about Loxley and his band. It was here he learnt his trade, most wouldn't call it a trade they called it crime, but under the tutelage of some of the greatest thieves he thrived and was on the fast track to becoming an urban legend. However fame always brings enemies and one of his associates was jealous of his infamy and believed that this young up-start was nothing more than a petty criminal with a large amount of luck which was bound to run out.

The man saw to it himself that his luck ran out. So while he and Billy were on a raid he tripped an Alarm and stunned old Billy boy before making his escape. The guards came and Billy served a sentence of 4 years in the NCR prison cells. It was tough he felt he couldn't trust anyone again especially anybody in the Thieves Guild, but being an Orphan he had always felt lonely and wanted to be accepted. One day he was thrown a life line after hearing about a certain faction who were looking men and women with special talents. He bit the bullet and put his trust in them, so far it has paid off.

snip

Nice to know there a few Enclave still out in the wastes, my character was stationed at Navarro, he was a part of a squad who were charged with the task of procuring chemicals from a know criminal organisation in exchange for energy weapons, he disagreed with this completely, he didnt like the fact he had to work with mutant wastelanders for anything and continually questioned his orders, arguing that it would be better to simple order the manufacturing of chems and destroy any who opposed, or better yet to forget whatever the eggheads were cooking up and simply wipe out every wastelander who had been living in the wastes for more then a generation.

Eventually his discontent led to his desertion of the Enclave, he took with him his armour and a plasma rifle and left behind his name, taking on the title 'sikklecel'. He left under he pretence of a scouting mission, though he didnt make it far before he was ambushed by raiders, he fought well and could have won, if it wernt for the one of the raiders launching a missile directly into his chest, the blow knocked him off his feet, and caused him to black out.
When he awoke he was no longer wearing his armour, and was laying in a bed in an unknown location, his wounds bandaged, he could hear two people argueing in the next room, it sounded as if they were deciding what to do with him, unarmed and unable to move from the pain of his injuries he awaited his fate, expecting to see armed raiders enter at any moment, he was shocked when two ghouls entered, even though he was crippled he could see the fear in their eyes. It turned out that the raiders managed to strip what was left of his power armour off and were about to finish him when this group of ghouls out huntig had intervened, most of the raiders managed to escape taking the remains of his APA, though a few were killed by the ghouls.

He was shocked, embaressed and disgusted, he was rescued by mutants, ghouls at that, and what was worse was that they had no clear agenda, they simply helped him, even though enclave patrols were killing every ghoul they came accross.
This act changed something inside him, he remained wih the ghouls until he was fully recovered, during the time he could walk he went hunting with them, learning the art of tracking and the ways of wasteland survival.
By the time he left he no longer felt the unfounded, fanatical hatered toward wastelanders he once did, though he no longer completely agrees with the Enclave and keeps his past a secret, he does miss it and often contemplates returning to Navarro.

Character Name: Stewart 'Kipler' Kipling

SPECIAL Character Sheet:

ST:5
PE:10
EN:4
CH:3
IN:7
AG:6
LK:5

Bio: Stewart Kipling was born on March 5th, 2024, in Pre-War Los Angeles, California. He was dubbed 'Kipler' because most of the time, he would bumble around most of the time, exploring in and out of his little suburban community and was an avid fan of muffins. He was a mischievous child who liked playing pranks inside his dull community, especially making things that would classify as destructive devices if the Great War had not hit the United States. However, in 2044, during the year of the Great Passion Fruit Famine, when he attempted to look for new ingredients to use for making bigger and better explosives inside a unknown factory in which he thought to be abandoned, a malfunctioning Mr. Handy robot knocked him out and placed him into an experimental freezer used for storing and keeping Nuka-Cola fresh. Nearly more than two centuries went by as he was preserved inside the freezer, unconscious. At last, in 2247, a couple of Hub merchants came across the factory. They unlocked the freezer and found more than just fresh Nuka-Cola. Kipler soon found himself confused and weak, as he was in an unfamiliar setting. Wasteland, and rough faces, his family was gone, his sole purpose was to survive.

Well, the armor supply is way up now, probably have around 15 LJ and 12 LA in an hour or so.
So new rules about armors.

If you want to use an armor then feel free to do so.
But at least try to be tactical about it, do you really need the armor if you're just going to NCR for trading? Do you really need it if going to mine ore?
If you lose an armor then you lose an armor, just remember that I'm not going to go out gecko hunting for skins just cause you lost an armor. (If they run out then they run out.)
Don't get me wrong, I will go collect skins and hides as well but I won't do it cause someone lost an armor, I'll do it if I feel I want to do it.

So feel free to use the armors but try to use them for when you actually have a purpose to survive, like hunting for example or going out grinding.
Try to do that in groups instead of going solo, Marauders are too dangerous to face solo.

I would like that all gecko skins and brahmin hides are put in the chest, no in the armor drawer, not in the "stuff to sell" locker, but the resources chest.
If the chest becomes full then put them in the armor drawer or try to clean out the chest a little.

On a different note, I found myself some real nice encounters 3 squares down from Broken Hills, Unity vs NCR.
Unity often kills the NCR and are very slow to pick stuff up due to super mutant and ghoul animations so it's easy as hell to loot tier 3, 4 and 5 weapons from the dead NCR. (Update, something must've happened because now these bastarts are just as grabby as the rest of the humanoids with "leave everything to us or we kill you." Gonna keep trying to farm stuff but it's gotten harder now, but the reward for doing it when one actually manges to steal crap is great.)
I advise that more people try to farm this area for weapons.
If we get enough then we might be able to finally take our next step forward instead of going in circles with our usual crap equipment. :P

Btw, when are the rest of ya coming online today?

Well, I have a brief character bio in the first page but I guess I should expand it. (This also is involved with the group's founding, and this will replace the brief background story I have on the OP.)

Name: Howard, Albert
Town: Harves T.

Albert was a wanderer for years in the wasteland, he was young then, and still is.
He wandered and scavenged any cities, his family he never knew, his friend's were either dead or gone,
but there was one thing that kept pushing him on, books.

He loved books, fiction, historical, and books simply detailing city records and progress or sometimes books about survival, or how to makeguns, maintain them, clean them, and other such inormation...

While searching ruins, he eventually found a book, one detailing information on how to survive in harsh weather condition's similar to the one he was facing, and so he studied it, and he was living it. Time passed quickly for him, he finished the book and learned anything possible from it but he kept it as a source of inspiration and he set out in search of anything holding knowledge.

He found ruins of a libary filled with old books about cities, towns, villages and much, much more.
There was a book that caught his attention, a worn book that appeared to be red once and he picked it up and read it...
It was about towns and how they were maintained, supplied, and organized and much like other books he found in the past, it consumed him.

He set out back into the waste's to use his new found knowledge to make the wasteland a safer place, to build a safe haven for others...
But he needed help, he needed people to protect it, to help it, to supply it and other's followed him.

There were many reason's for them following him, some were running from past, hiding, while some were seeking a better life in peace or safety, while others were with him for reason's, that were purely human ones.

Eventually the group he had with them travelled for some years, and they had been living in tent's, in danger.
They sought a better place, a permanant home... so they looked and looked, until finally they found somewhere suitable,
It was an abandonned farm, the place was deserted, no wildlife was near except the occasional gecko and the plants that were once being grown there dead and withered,
the Farmhouse itself was falling apart, but the group didn't give up hope for the place, they replanted crops, they tamed wild brahmin and built pens for them, they built shacks, rebuilt the farm house, built a well, put tents up and eventually constructed a wall with left over parts from the shacks after being attacked by the wildlife which started to return to the area...

The life was good, struggles happened occasionally, but then again, alot of things did.
Life in the wasteland is hard, and Howard has come to face it and deal with it... But now, he's also trying to change it.

Okay, got a new pitch for the item distribution and organizing crap which I think might be better than "everything belongs to everyone" since that system ain't working too well and is far too strict.

Item distribution - Crew quarters and personal piles.

So I've been thinking it over and over with the armors, weapons, resources and ammo.
And I think I got a new and better item distribution/management.

Okay so where to begin....
Let's take personal piles.
Everyone should have a personal pile from now on, everything in that personal pile is yours, no one has the right to take from your pile unless they ask for your permission.
That way each person can keep track on their equipment.

The LA and LJ should be split, each person gets an LA and a LJ.
How this works is that each person now has to manage their own armor supply. (Since the current one is too unorganized.)
So when on your travels, get golden gecko hides, gecko hides and brahmin skins and later good metal parts and high quality alloys.
These resources should be put into your personal piles unless you wish to donate these resources to the crew quarters. (The shack with everything in it.)
What this means is that each person is responsible for their own armor usage.
If you're wasteful then you'll lose your armors, don't come asking for more to be made for you unless you have the supplies from it.
The rest of the armors and the resources you donate to the crew will be spare armors.
These spare armors are only to be distributed by either Alan or Howard.
They are only to be used when going on hunting trips or bodyguarding someone with valuable stuff.
And they are to be returned after each trip.

This means that you "can" have an armor if we're going out hunting or something.
And if we have a good supply you might be given an armor.
But each person manages their own armor supply.
This way it's easier to keep track on when someone loses an armor or if one goes missing.

The crew quarters(CQ) now function like this:
All items in the crew quarters are things you can take to your personal pile IF you have the consent of Howard, Alan or at least 3 other members.
This means that the items in the crew quarters are donated items.
Each one of us can ask for permission to own it.
This means that each person are responsible for their own weapon and ammo supply as well.
And means that if you lose a bunch of stuff because you're too risky then you'll end up with nothing.
Not to worry though, if there is a weapon and some ammo in the CQ you can still ask for permission to own it.

This does not mean we should stop donating, not by any means, but we need a new system for the items we have.
The current system is too strict. I don't like it but it's how we have to do in order to keep our gang afloat.
And I know that a lot of people are like "*sigh* I can't use anything here because then everyone else will be pissed."
It's just too strict. (I've noticed that some people's morale has really gone down, if down enough then they'll probably quit the game.)
This way on the other hand, each one of us has the option to donate and to receive items from the crew quarters.
Each one of us has our own piles to maintain so that if stuff goes missing you (we) will know about it.

So currently we have a lot of weapons then, we have some high tier weapons like the CAWS and FN FAL and some low tiers like 10mm pistol and 9mm pistol.
Each person should be given 4 weapons.
1 high tier.
1 mid tier.
and 2 low tier.
All coming with an adequate amount of ammo to it.

Everyone will have 4 weapons, some ammo and 2 armors.
If someone loses everything because they're careless then it's their own fault.
They can ask for permission to get a new weapons or armor from Alan or Howard.

Note: This post is a pitch, this new system is not in place yet.

First, sorry for the double post, but I'm pretty pissed.

When I logged off last night at 3 AM CST, there were about 9 stimpacks left, and now 11:38 AM CST there is only 1 stimpack in there, that I JUST bought. I said RATION IT TO ONE PER PERSON, ONLY IN EMERGENCIES OR HUNTING PARTIES. If people are going to use a stimpack on every little boo boo and scraqe instead of rationing and using their FA skill wisely, Im going to stop buying Stims and make you all buy them your damn selves. For those of you actually rationing, good job playing fair, for those of you just popping stims like crazy, Stimpacks are costly, I cant keep buying them in fast supply. We need to RATION them :/
