[RELz] Fallout 3 Advanced (Version 3.0)

Post » Tue Jun 01, 2010 12:31 am

That would be a interesting idea.

There is a holdup on the EVE patch (I am having a busy day).

Make sure to update the version # in your sig.

ah thanks good point!
I have been away lately working with the UDK so I haven't been paying as much attention on this front I guess lol..

You know what, the more I think about it the more a system like the above could be setup 100% compatible with any overhaul.
I guess in a way that is exactly what it is really. Dynamically fluctuating loot tables and monster spawn tables with a side order of random encounters.
Perhaps this system should be a separate project. hmm

Honestly it sounds more to me like an extension of MMM rather than of FO3A. Though FO3A would be supported, so would FWE and FOOK for that matter.
hmm

Does anyone else get the endlessly spinning Rad-meter needle on the PipBoy even with no rads? I was in Vault 101 and ate a piece of Radroach meat and it went crazy. Reloading the game doesn't help.

whats strange about that is rad roach meat doesn't even give rads anymore o.O
Ill take a look at the rad roach meat though. But I haven't seen anything like that at all.

Do any other items do this?

Can you display your load order?

Looks like it stopped in a later save. I reloaded the vault save and it was still spinning. I had some of the .ESMs with the other files from their mods but I moved them to the top to see if that was the problem.

Hmm
As far as the load order I am not quite sure at all what could be causing the problem.

Can you reproduce the effect reliably with a fresh save?
Its possible it was just a fluke. It will be very hard to track down unless I can reproduce the problem on my end.

edit: It was a fresh game right? the very first rad roaches in the game?

This from the Enhanced Weather Nexus page: THE RADIOACTIVE RAIN PLUGIN CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS (GEIGER COUNTER STUCKS ON THE HUD, GEIGER COUNTER NOISE CONSTANTLY PLAYS) TO SOME GAMES, I DON'T KNOW WHY, USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Hmm
I haven't run into this yet but ill keep my eyes open.
Though I haven't been playing because I am setting up the stat tracker atm. I can say that the enhanced weather implementation could be improved a bit. However I am not sure if it is causing the problem.

What state does your rad counter need to be in for it to begin spinning?
Perhaps a negative number?

It is a dead mod but it works fine and has no bugs that I know of.

Hey! I am back!!!

I have been having a hard time lately getting back into the game myself now. Its not that the modding aspect of the game is less fun, I still enjoy that very much. Though I am now finding it harder to keep playing the game. :(

Happened me too. :( Something that has helped me is not playing games for a month, and when I go back to gaming, any game I play is awesome.
Another thing to do is play Crysis constantly, then when you get tired of playing it go back to Fallout! :)

Yeah I agree
Though it would be impossible for me to be away from games in general for such a long time. I did something I probably should not have when I re-opened my old WoW account.
If only I could mod WoW now that would be sweet lol.. Then again, I am not sure wtf I would change in that game..

TheCastle, I don't want this mod to die, it has so much potential. Get back in here. Or at least tell if you are done with the mod or not.

I have been pretty burned out on FO3 lately and with things ramping up at work I am now using an entirely different scripting language ect.
I am not so sure I can continue work on FO3 stuff so much anymore.

I still am going to try and finish up the dynamic difficulty system though because it interests me quite a bit. I just don't know if I have the time or energy to keep going with FO3A. :(

That svcks :( , but I am exited to hear that you plan on finishing the dynamic difficulty system. Would you be willing to let me work on FO3A for you?

Anyways, :foodndrink: GOOD JOB WITH YOUR HARD WORK ON THIS GREAT MOD! :foodndrink:

You sir, have become my favorite modder (and no, I'm not just saying that).

Sure if you want you can take lead of FO3A. I would love to see what changes you would make. :)

I am glad that you have enjoyed this project. :)
It was definitely fun to work on.
