Washington, D.C.
The sun had long ago set; the streets of D.C. were dark and foreboding. Raiders, ghouls and super mutants lurked the ruins. The nuclear apocalypse of 2077 had left the world as a horrible wasteland. Humanity was lucky to survive... at all. But life wasn’t restricted to Earth, oh no. Life was out there in the cold expanse of space.
Many light years away from the Sol System were species that had been fighting for millennia; the first species was a humanoid. Taller than a man, stronger and smarter too they were a warrior race, hunters without equal. The other species were parasites, they would use other species as hosts and took on certain traits from the host, and they were deadly killers without remorse.
The hunters saw the most perfect prey in these parasites and so they took them to planets like Earth that were bountiful with life. Here the parasites would breed and then the hunters would come to take part in the most ambitious hunt of all time. The hunters came to Earth and found humanity. At that time humans were not completely aware of the world and had no idea about anything that was in the stars. They worshiped the hunters and in turn were taught how to build and the hunters used the humans to build pyramids around the globe. Here the hunt began and the hunters would fight until they were victorious. But sometimes the hunters were overwhelmed but they ensured nothing stayed alive.
The hunters were aware of the Great War they watched from afar and mused at the weakness of humans to allow their planet to fall into such disarray. But soon they had to check out the planet and to their surprise found that the human race hadn’t become extinct. They still hung on and this was a good thing for the hunters they could once again hold the hunt.
