Fallout 1 and 2 class development

Post » Sat Jun 23, 2012 7:58 am

I try and try but fallout 1 and 2 are just impossibe when it comes to classes, nothing seems to work.

If any experts could post skills, specials, traits and perks it would really help thanks

You need to be more specific. What does not work and how do you mean "does not work"?

The games are most accessible when you tag and develope at least small guns and speech (the third one could be anything really); bumb intelligence and agility as they are the most powerful stats; perks are pretty selfexplanatory (aim for sniper, more criticals, and better criticals; and speech related perks). Save often, pay attention to what is happening and what NPC's tell you, tread carefully, and don't despair at failure because sometimes that just happens. You'll get the hang of it.

There won't be a best build, because all builds will open and close certain possibilities.

If you just mean a build to make combat less difficult, then increase your PC's skill in small guns (and/ or melee, unarmed, thrown), raise your agility all the way, and get the best armor as you find or can afford it.
Hire some NPC's.

Making an unbalanced PC that is totally combat-centric will limit your options in dialog with NPC's and interaction with computers and machinery.

For that you would need a user patch that provides a directX wrapper.

http://www.Killap.net

(Two patches are available there; the 'Restoration Project' patch and the 'Unofficial patch'. The RP adds cut content while the Unofficial patch is just the bug fixes. You only need one or the other.)

Buy the GoG version if you can. It's already patched correctly and works fine on Windows 7.
