Fallout 1 and 2 Nintendo DS or PSP ports

Post » Thu Aug 25, 2011 3:37 am

Given what Fallout 1 and 2 are i think it would be totally sick to have a portable version of the oldschool games. I think that would be an easy score for sales and totally awesome for fans. What do you guys think?

haha i mean it doesnt have to be the core team to re format it for hand held....they could hire a subsidary or send it to a nintendo team. It shouldnt impede any other game progress unless you just like there being less fallout material in the universe...if thats the case im shunning you.

You don't even have to change them just put it on a handheld! Unless you liked to mod the orginal fallouts which would be a b and not worth it in my opinion

They wouldn't work on a PSP and I doubt they'd work well on a DS.

pff it's not like it had an intricate control system, could easily be re-worked with a scroll out in game menu screen type deal for d.s. I guess it wouldnt really work for the psp but eh like i said it wasnt intricate or anything so the computer to portable wouldnt be too rough. Im all for being true to orginals but who cares if the control system is slightly different for a strategy sim.

We get it your an orginal elitist. Why does re platforming your sacred pc game bother the "old school dont change it " crowd so much?
Just curious.

controls i have never seen a game like this translated to consoles well, a mouse is necessary, lack of interest it would sell about as well as their pc versions, dont mess with something that isnt broke. their you go...

Yeah the sales would be terrible, most of the buttons would be useless unless they were just hotkeys. The DS would handle it better with its stylus to point and click.

Think who would buy it, maybe a couple thousand of people. More people own pc's than ds's especially the 3ds. So if they really wanted to play the originals they could just buy them for the pc.

Why do you consider playing Fallout on the go offensive because it does not force you into a chair? Thats silly. Unless you just think portable gaming is silly or not good enough for your franchise...which is arguable.

...portable gaming killed my father... either way im sure you could find a way to use one of these tablets with windows 7 on it to run it the controls may just be pretty weird.
