Fallout 1 & 2, and Tactics

Post » Mon Jan 18, 2016 4:57 pm

this is not an advertisemant but a courtesy

just got news that gog and greenman gaming are running deals on Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics

basically you can get all 3 for about 7 bucks

I didn't start playing Fallout til FO3 so I've always been interested in all the comparisons and feedback concerning the other fallout games so I saw this as a good opportunity to pick them up for cheap

just thought i'd spread the word

(good stocking stuffers no?)

i always wondered how younger gamers would love our old classics. give us an update after 6 hours of playing - it will take some adjustment but i think you will fall in love with it like we all did back in the day. Those games were part of the golden age of RPG's

and if you really like it - try these games too

Baulders Gate 2

Planescape Torment

Arcanum

and ill throw in Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights in there too

Those games were the pinnacle of RPG games and their stories still hold up today. Its just a different style of game than what younger (mostly console) gamers are used to. You can find them all on GOG too

i dunno if i'd be considered a younger gamer, but i can already tell its heavy rpg which i wasn't really into back in the day; just to give you an idea tho, the game that got me into PC's was Space Quest 3 (Roger Wilco Rulez! xD)

I got the same deal on steam for about 7 bucks nearly a year ago. I got 94 hrs plugged into Tactics before I finished it. Gr8 game!

I've tried three times to enjoy FO1, after joining the series at FO3. I never get more than an hour or two in.

Add NWN2 even though the main game's story was merely ok, Mask of the Betrayer is one of the best, if not the best single player campaign storywise in an RPG ever.
