I got artifacts on my screen, and I'm using Windows 95 compatibility, 256 colors, and 640x480.

Help?

Ha... It's been a few weeks since I last saw a thread of someone asking about this...
Now with the new windows we're going to get more I expect.

Anyway this worked in Vista:
256 colors and 640x480 check.
Try windows 98 compatibility instead of 95

If it keeps happening press Alt+Tab twice (to switch to your desktop and back into the game - may need more times if you have other programs running)
Alt+Tab should solve the problem temporarily - it might happen again after an hour or it might happen again mediately - but just hit Alt+Tab again, it shouldn't happen too often to become a nuisance.

If it persists check out http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1033530... or wait for someone who has solved the problem in windows 7.
But Alt+Tab is what I do in Vista and it works fine.

I ran in to problems with Windows XP and it turns out I needed to minimize all other applications before running Fallout. This may not be what's causing your problem but it can't hurt to try it.
