Fallout 4 Audio output selection

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 5:32 pm

How can I direct which audio output device Fallout 4 uses? Without using default audio device selection in Windows that is. I am on a Windows PC. I want to stream in-game audio only and am trying to direct the audio to Virtual Audio Cable's outputs. I can't seem to find any option and google didn't help me so far.

I've never seen any options like this and don't understand why you'd only want to stream the audio.

LoL

Not laughing at you mate, just that I have to dumb down my 7.1 to stereo anolog to be able to play without sound problems, it just cracked me up seeing your tree falling in the forest and the sound it made.

What's the problem with your surround? My 5.1 is great. It gets way worse when my receiver decides to go to stereo when I watch a YouTube video and forgets to go back to surround when I fire up anything that has surround.

I don't want to stream other system sounds while I play. I just do gameplay streams and do other stuff on my computer while I play, so it'd be nice to seperate out all skype/steam/porm sounds and just transmit in-game sound only.

Edit: Not to mention, selecting which audio device out has plenty of other uses as well.

Dialog cut off mid-threw when using anything other then 2.1 setup or less (using center speaker for dialogues) that and a few times I'm looking at something all peacefull like in sneak mode and something starts bashing me over the head from behind out of litterally nowhere lol at least sure as hell didn't hear the zombie/raider in PA or super-mutant that seemed to be master ninjas, but don't think they're related game mechanic wise *shrugs*
