Fallout 4 in Beijing? : Fallout Series Discussion

Ok Ok I know this idea is probably already been thoughts of but I thought that fallout players would find it cool to see the view of the inhabitants of some sort of Vault system in China but it doesn't have to Beijing it could be Shanghai or Hong Kong or maybe those could be DLCs but anyway I wanted to see what the community thoughts on a China based fallout 4.

I think all FO games should be in the USA. It just wouldn't feel right being anywhere else.

I agree... Fallout should be based in North America, for sure (I say North America because talks of Ronto.) I mean, I could see DLC in China to see what is going on in their part of the world, but I don't think the next game should be based in Beijing. It wouldn't feel like Fallout.

Yup, any Fallout game is going to be set nowhere else but the Good Ol 'USA. And a lock means that this thread will probably be closed by a moderator because there's already a big thread going on with musings on Fallout 4, no others needed. Sorry.

Because it is the capital of china thus it would be nuked badly ow and the other guy I meant Hong Kong and Shanghai would be DLCs Beijing would be the main game

no.

Unless, of course, the entire backstory is 1950's Chinese culture, which could be incredibly interesting, by the way. But if it was, then it really wouldn't be Fallout.

There were no vaults outside of the US, Vaul-Tec was an American company. I wouldn't be surprised if there were bunkers though. As for Fallout 4 all hints point to it being set in the Commonwealth of New England.

What you should think about is how well a game would be accepted that had all kinds of Americans shooting up everything that moves in China, not to mention American bombs destroying the Capitol.

Political drama for the win.

Florida was actually going to be the focus of Fallout Tactics 2, it was even going to have Mutant Alligators. Too bad it was canceled.
