Fallout 3.1 Beta

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:41 pm

Hello i'm from Fallout World Studios at http://www.FalloutWorld.ning.com <------ Thats where you can read about the Fallout 3.1 mod
In late December we will be putting Fallout 3.1 on The Fallout Nexus mod site for PC players to download. But before then some people will be able to download the Beta version and those who do will get a Special Edition soon after.

But how do we get the Beta? Thats easy, to get the Beta go to link removed & sign up. Then you can access the Beta version sign up page. link removed
Then on the 13th of November 25% of those who RSVP will get their message telling them that they will get it.
REMEMBER: The Beta Version will only be avalible to download for 1 day.

Also the 25% will be picked Randomly. Sadly we don't have any trailers to show yet but there should be in the next 2 weeks. If once you sign up you have any reasons why YOU should get the Beta version Please send a Private message to me on link removed Thank you,
Fallout World Studios

From the forum rules:
There is a pinned thread for fansites in the Oblivion General section, Morrowind General Section and Fallout site the Fallout General section where you may post your Oblivion or Fallout site. Please ensure your site is appropriate for this forums members. You may also place a link in your signature to your site as long as it is appropriate.

I'd like to add that Fallout 3.1 is to keep those who may drift away from fallout interested.

We only think it will be complete in December but it may take a bit longer. But don't worrie every quest is planned out.

P.S. Don't shoot or Steal the G.E.C.K from the Tesla

Since I won't be around on the thirteenth, I'll wait for the release in December. But it sounds amazing

What is Fallout 3.1?

It adds 100 more missions like the games missions, it also adds 2 new citys buts still like the actual game. We aren't building in DLC space so you don't need any of the DLC or if you have a DLC you'll still be able to get to things that the DLC added. Does that help or anything else you'd like to know?

Is it voice-acted? Is it canon?
Do you have any screenshots at all?
Seems a lot of effort to get it when we don't really know what we're getting ourselves into.

this sounds like a very interesting mod.

in the description of vault city, however, you say that you basically get rid of the entirety of megaton. how will this mod retain compatibility with the main (and side) quests? more specifically, quests related to moira and tenpenny? also, what will happen to all the NPCs there (ie simms, moriarty, et al)? will they be re-located to areas within vault city?

also, screenshots would really help.

All part of modding. No one's twisting your wrist to help them out, anyway.

No it won't all be voice acted BUT we will use some of the things people say in Fallout.

VC isn't going to be built over Megaton anymore.

Screen Shots & a Trailer may be coming in the Next 2 weeks.

Basicly we're upgrading the wasteland and adding more quests.

Theres also a Special Edition for those who get the beta version.

I don't want to be a party pooper here but are you serious? Have you got any modding experience? What is the state of your progress?

Things are going fine but there was a problem with the computer so it may be Next week when we get to continue so just now we're planing out the quests and spreading the word. Thats also why we can't get screen shots just now.

This isn't about some in-game politics. It's about that you, sir/madam, are one of those dozens who claim they are doing gazillion new things to Fallout 3 in a matter of weeks while they provide absolutely no process material - or if there is, it's minor.
Personally I'm working on my own quest mod which will add total 7+ quests and the project has been up for months. (It would have been finished already but I'm newb to modding myself) so your 100+ quests and a MSPaint logo is not going to take you far in two months.

But, if you can pull this ship off go ahead, even though I mostly find this more amusing than serious.
If you hypotethically give us what you are promising here - you will most certainly be the most successful Bethesda game modder - ever.

Agreed.

So far, OP, your talk about this oh-so wonderful mod consists of little more than thinly-veiled attempts to get us to join your site with the promise of MAYBE (and that's a big maybe) getting a copy of the beta sometime late next month. You've given us no assurances that you're even capable of creating such a mod -- actually, I do have a hard time believing that such a quality mod could be created, especially this since even the ORIGINAL GAME doesn't have that many quests, and that game was in development by professional game designers for 4 years or so.

Frankly, this sounds like one of those bold claims that many newbie modders make before realizing soon enough that they've gotten in way over their head and then just slink off and let the remnants of the project fizzle out. If you aren't one of those modders (and I DO apologize if you aren't), then by all means, show us proof. Either video or screenshots would suffice. If you truly are incapable of producing either for some convenient technical reason, then deign yourself to tell us lowly mortals some actual details about the project. Because for all we know, the bulk of those 100 quests consist of basic collection hunts given out by the same person, and the 2 "citys" are same size as Girdershade.

About 10 days ago the OP had a machine that was not capable of running FO3 http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1045530&hl=,now he`s going to produce a masterpiece of modding.Sorry to be so skeptical but I dont think this is going to happen.

The forums don't let us post links to Fallout sites -_-

Also: Everyone stop moaning and the guy that said it took them 4 years to make Fallout. It won't take 4 years to make this mod. The Mod may take more than 2 months, the G.E.C.K is just a more complex Version of the Sims (Building tool)
Maybe we won't get exacly 100 quests i'm just asking who would like to be added to the Beta list. So far 25 quests have been planned.

And to you Mister Enclave Eye patch guy whatever your name is i think your enclave mod would be very good and the idea sounds very entertaining. :fallout:

@OP
How many people are on the team, as of today? Since the OP says 'we' will be releasing it in dec..
..and howlong has it been in production already. Again, from the OP and from the forum site -yes, I visited it and it seems that it's been in the pipeline for awhile.
Clarity is bliss.
