It's was about a dad and a son I'm pretty sure and the world went to hell and they went through the wasteland together or something. That's all I recall. And I think it might have road or roads in the title. Not the collectors edition novel though

The book is very good. I found The Road (movie) to be very slow. I'm sure it was meant to be that way to help you feel the depression of the setting, but it made the movie drag. Still it was better than some thing I saw back in the 80's. It was about an astronaught who was stationed on a weapons satellite. A war occured, they didn't launch their weapons. Someone on the ground forced the craft to return so they could get the nukes. Post apocalyptic, cannibals, raiders, megalomaniac leader, horrible acting, bad scrtipt, poor production, low budget, good premise gone bad movie. Had lots of potential. Ended with the astronaught dying of his wounds and the kid he saved and befriended going on down a road with the kid's voice narrating the post script. I'd like to see it redone by someone with skill.

It is a slow film, and there was one moment where I just shook my head at the apparent bizarre decision made by the lead character (without going into spoilers...).

I do want to read the book, however.

the dad in the story uses a shopping cart to carry his stuff about in which gave me the idea to do it in the game but sadly they dont move easily and keep falling over
