Fallout can help the elder scroll games

Post » Wed Jun 29, 2011 3:31 am

Ok so fallout can actually help out the elder scroll games by coming out before every elder scrolls.fallout 4 will HOPEFULLY be the next fallout game and it will HOPEFULLY be on the next console generation meaning by fallout coming before the next elder scrolls on a new generation platform bethesda will have more experiance with that console and they would be able know what it is and what it's not capable of and making the next elder scrolls that more wonderful.and of course this is just my speculation thats how I see it.

Makes sense, I guess.

EDIT: basically what he's saying is that if they release fallout games before they release elder scrolls games, they can get a grasp of what fans want, and also the limitations of the next gen of consoles. I think.

He's talking about how Bethesda should have more experience with TES VI on the next gen of consoles, because they'll have the experience of Fallout 4, assuming it is made on the next generation of consoles.
Hehe, not sure if even that makes sense.

what?

Basic thought of the OP: If the next console generation comes out before the next FO or ES game, making FO4 would help TES(insert area here) because they would have worked with the new tech on FO4, instead of jumping into it with an ES game. Therefore, making a crappy, glitchy FO game, but then making an awesome TES game because by then, they understand the tech better.

what?

by fallout coming ahead of the elder scrolls bethesda will have better insight as to what will work and what won't work
lighting effects
environment issues
trap mechanics.etc
this just popped into my head and I didn't want to forgot it so I desided to post it just something out of the blue.

Well TES 6 won't come out for another 4-5 years as always, that is enough time to know what the next consoles will handle but next gen they can't wait too long or the next next gen will be right around the corner.. not going to be 6+years anymore

I read on the internet earlier that fallout 4 might be released end of 2012 and there's already a teaser trailer of it (not sure if its real or not). If thats the case the next gen consoles are supposedly scheduled for 2016 which would be roughly when the next TES should be ready.
TES VI might be the one of the first releases!

Makes sense, but Fallout 4 will need lots of tlc, and not being made to a launch deadline. Hopefully that lesson has been well and truly learned.

I see your point.

It gives the devs a chance to do something different and not get bogged down in the same series too long. It will give them longer to come up with new ideas and it should in theory help the Elder Scrolls series live a longer and more fruitful life.

That being said I would rather have Elder Scrolls VI than I would Fallout 4.... Still remember good things come to those that wait.... been 6 long years since Oblivion, Yay

Source or link?

Fallout 4 will not be released at the end of 2012 simple as, Bethesda will still be supporting Skyrim with dlc at that point and I find it extremely unlikely Beth will release 2 huge games like that only a year apart.

No source for this but common sense says Fallout 4 won't be with us till 2014 at the earliest. Anyone want to prove me wrong feel free.

I would expect the releases of TES and Fallout to leapfrog each other until people are not interested in these games anymore. blasphemy! It could be indpendent of when console technology is improved but when that happens, it could just benefit whatever game comes second in the cycle.

Ya but Elder Scrolls 5 is coming out in 4 more months so Fallout 4 can't beat it to the table.
Looking forward to Fallout 4 I wonder if it will take over where Fallout New Vegas left off and let us finish off the Legion.
