I've been wanting to replay Fallout 1 and 2 but was unable to find my discs, I thought such a good game deserved to be repurchases. I bought the "Fallout 1/2 Bundle" off of Amazon.com.

It came today. Upon opening the envelope, to my discontent, the seller was out so instead sent me the Fallout Collection. It's apparently a UK version distributed by GSP or "White Label" http://www.wargames.com/images/fallout-collection-dvd-rom.jpg.

Are there any differences between the UK and US distributions? I've heard talk of the UK one being "censored", but I don't know to what extent it is censored.

P.S. Anyone happen to know of any good custom user-made DVD case inserts I can print out? I could make one if I wanted to but I'm lazy. :shrug:

The UK version has no kids in the games. However, since you definitely do not want to even try to run the games without fanmade patches this wont be an issue.

Indeed, the white label seems to introduce a few extra bugs here and there (in the installation admittedly). The version on those disks is the prepatched version.

Edit- I realise now that could be ambigous, I mean its the version before the patch, not that its been patched already.

Oh well, I'll find workarounds.

What happened to "Fallout: The Ultimate Collection", which I believe is the North American equivalent of the White Label distribution? All I can find is some small mentions of it on eBay, but it seems much more realistic.

I got the U.K white label collection and with Killap's patch it works great.

Don't worry about getting a UK version, there are plenty of childern mods.

I own the White Label versions as well and run them on XP and have had zero problems...seriously. Read up before you start to play...Killap's patches (and maybe even the restoration mod) are a must

Does anyone have links and explanation of what these patches are and for which of the Fallout games? :unsure:
