Fallout Collection sold in limited retailers?

Post » Tue Dec 29, 2009 1:09 pm

I went to a Best Buy and Gamestop today looking for the Fallout Collection, neither of them had it. I was informed by one of the Gamestop retailers that no Gamestops at all carry the Fallout Collection. Is this true? If so, where could I find this?

I don't think Gamestops even carry PC games anymore. They really are the worst place to buy games, anyway.

I just picked it up in Best Buy for $19.99 last night.

So far, I'm already seeing why the hardcoe FO fans were so dismayed about having Bethesda take on the project. Having come from TESIII, and then playing both OB and FO3, I can see why Bethesda did what it did, but not necessarily HOW they did it. The old game was certainly "dated" and needed a major overhaul, but the challenge other than just "killing stuff", character development process with "meaning", and twisted sense of humor were scaled back a lot in the Bethesda "sequel". Most of the same arguments are coming from the Daggerfall and Morrowind fans about where OB took the TES series, from a challenging "thinking" RPG to an "action-adventure" game for the casual player.

They always carry PC games.

Anyway, thanks for the help on this, I guess the Fallout Collection is a pretty big specialty release.

I think its a jibe at the trend of Major Video Games retailers to cut back on their PC section heavily, not to be taken completely literally (just yet)... Sadly an international trend.

Those in the UK, Finding the white label collection in Game is usually possible in my experience.

But I'd say head to Gog.com instead. As PC gamers, we've got the best online store!

I found the Fallout Trilogy at Target for $20 i was overly excited that it was rereleased so i had to have it. after i did a full install on my desktop pc i took the disk out of my pc to see if it would play without a disk and it did so copied all the program files to a 8gb thumbdrive cause i wanted to play it on my acer aspire one netbook. so know i sit and play fallout 1, 2, and tactics anywhere along with diablo2 :fallout:
