Im apparently not the only one to have this problem. some people are posting comments that they had the same issue.

I am unable to "talk" to my companions now. When I walk up to a companion and press "e" to command, when I click talk I just hear the click error sound, and no dialogue or anything comes up.This happens with all of them. I think this happened after I romanced piper if that has anything to do with it? I had to reload a save to get a companion out of power armor at one point. Any of you have any ideas how to fix this? I cant roll back saves at this point, I have about 15 hours in since It started.

The 2 things that I did companion wise was, 1. using console commands to get back a lost companion. Seriously, i had no clue where piper was.

and 2, i romanced piper.

Anybody with any ideas? Im not the only one with this issue, as I said before.

No fix yet, but i sent a bug report. I will update the youtube, the reddit, and this when i get a response. Lets hope for some good news from them.

I found a fix, at least for me.

When I tried to talk to curie in vault 81 I had a dialogue come up that was about Henry Cooke asking about ambushing a chem deal, (a quest) I believe the glitch happens when you have a dialogue you walked away from/didn't finish, because I remember pressing I have some questions then walking away. Hope this helps! Didn't have to use console commands either. Try going back and finishing it!
