Wow, seriously? I've never owned a console. My mom wouldn't let use have one when I was little and I never got one when I got older. I've just stuck with my PC. I've still used a controller before, though, like when I would play games at a friend's house. How have you never used one?

Mouse and keyboard aren't good for everything, after all. Anything that doesn't really require super precision I will usually use my ancient 360 controller with, such as racing games and games like Dark Souls.

Well, my keyboard hasn't been used in years, and I'm getting a desktop after years of having a laptop, but it's cheaper than buying a brand spankin' new one with a dozen of keys I'll never touch.

At first I likely will be getting the game on the X1 so I will use the controller.

When I do get the PC I will likely use both KB&M and a controller. Most times likely will be the KB&M but when my arthritis acts up then I use a controller. This game will be closer to a shooter but still you do have the option to use VATS and VATS runs quite well with a controller.

I do like the controller since all the controls are close together and for exploring the controller can not be beat in my eyes.

I'm playing on PC. When modding definitely MK. When sitting at my desk, MK. When kicking back in my bed playing on my big screen HDTV, Controller.

Is my only choice the Xbox 360 controller? I need it to be wireless as I will be about 15 ft from the TV. But I read that the Xbox 1 controller needs to be plugged into the PC with a cable to use it.

I don't know anybody who owns one. All of my lifelong friends are from a generation before video games, and none of them play (video games are for kids, they think). I now live in a household with five gamers (a Mom and four daughters) but they all play on computers. So, odd as it probably sounds to some people, I've just never met anybody who owned a console. *shrugs*

More than likely my handy dandy usb controller...ASSUMING A CERTAIN FELINE DOESN'T CHEW ON THE WIRE. I'M LOOKING AT YOU FLEABAG! (seriously, we've lost ten ipod charger cords to her, and countless wired headsets and microphones)

Thanks for the link! I am on Windows 7 and this article says you need Windows 10. May consider upgrading, but it begs the question: Will Fallout 4 work on Win 7 and Win 10? I would expect the answer to be yes but it would be nice to have confirmation. Because I am NOT buying Win 8.

And thanks B1GBadDaddy. I will look into the Steam controller as well.

I use a mouse/ keyboard/ controller hybrid. Meaning most gameplay is done with a controller plus i use the mouse for fine aiming and the keyboard for extra hotkeys and shortcuts

My PC is hooked up to my TV, so I will be using a controller. It's kind of awkward to use M&K on my couch. And I used to be a console gamer, so a controller feels much better to me.

Oh, I've played both console & computer (m&k) games for decades. I just tend to divide games into categories by which one of the two they play better with. :)

(Bastion, even though I have it on my PC? That's a console/controller game.... I tried it with M&K before I got an XB controller for my PC, it was terrible. Platformers, racing, and sports games? Definitely controller games. JRPGs? Yeah, most of them are better with controller. But RTS / FPS / isometric turn-based strategy / western RPG? M&K all the way.)

I'll use the M&K when modding and controller when I'm seriously playing. So, until the editor comes out it will be all controller all the time for me.

Mouse and Keyboard all the way.. I cant justify buying a console for roughly 500 dollars when I can build a console killer for 475 dollars that does more than play games or plays movies. I can actually use it to browse the net, do homework, etc.
