Fallout 4 crash in specific area

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 4:05 am

I really hope that if/when this bug gets patched I won't have to make a new game for it to take effect. I've already put 40+ hours into this and I don't want to have to drudge through all of that [censored] again to get to where I am.

Yeah, a few people have said that. I don't think we would but don't hold me to that

Yeah, I think most of us have used the feedback thing but they don't give conformation/replies to it.

I haven't heard anything from them since I sent it in last week either.

I'm hoping their response to my ticket will be a patch early this week :).

On "The Silver Shroud" quest I made the mistake of killing Northy from long range. I am currently on the "search the body for clues" portion of the quest. Does anyone know the console command to get past that?

Thanks!

Save before as it's a little trial and error

Try these one at a time (open console, enter code, close console, check if objective is done and if not do the next command)

setstage MS04 910

setstage MS04 950

setstage MS04 1000

Save first

use player.sqt

the code will look like

current quest: QUESTID (example: current quest: MSO02)

IF you can't find it based on those quest IDs then use

completequest QUESTID

It'll say you completed that quest when you exit the console, when it says Reunions has been completed then you'll have your codeee.

Hopefully that'll help you, if you can post a workaround for the quest when you're done then that'd be great!

and 3greg, if that works then post which could it was that worked pleaseee! Cheers

Kinda difficult to build when my settlement's happiness (sanctuary) is decreasing while being in the crash zone...I won't play Fallout 4 until it gets fixed, I didn't go through the trouble of expanding my settlement just to see it die.

Godd Howard pls hear me out and fix this

Maaan, I know you can't fix every bug in your game but I just don't see how these don't get noticed?

Getting a Vertibird crash on Rocket's Red Glare. Game quits to desktop as the Vertibird flies past the area North of Kendall Hospital, after taking off from Cambridge Station. So, very similar to the Shadow of Steel bug, except the workaround doesn't help, as it makes the quest uncompletable (you need to get back in the Vertibird at the end, and it just bugs out and leaves you sitting there)

Tried every conceivable workaround out there so far. No luck.

just because the bug is red on the unofficial bug report thread doesn't mean there is nothing to worry about. Bethesda has made no comment on this or any other bug as far as I am aware, so we have no clue as to when a patch will be released. we also have no clue whether or not our saves will be fixed when there is a patch. so how can any of us enjoy the game not knowing if our progress matters?

I find your optimism to be unfounded.

Man, that really svcks. Sorry to hear. Im guessing completing a bunch of stages and teleporting to the end doesn't work?

Once this is done, I'm going to create a thread about the tranformation of a optomistic naive K_Lou to the Bethesda hating pessimist we see today i jk i jk

But in seriousness, I'm really sure that we'll get a patch but I have no idea when. I personally thought a game-breaking patch would come pretty quicky but I'm not a game developer

Nope, unfortunately. Due to the nature of the quest (which I don't want to spoil), even finishing the whole quest line via console doesn't REALLY work. Basically stuck until a patch drops.

If G.E.C.K. or something was out, this problem would've been fixed in 15 minutes.

Beth pls fix this

When K_Lou isn't throwing darts at Todd Howards head, he is lurking on this thread looking for spelling mistakes

you still have one gamepot in your post. but seriously, thats good, maybe now bethesda will say something about this. i feel like the writer at gamespot is probably just some guy who has the bug as well and is starting to grow impatient, haha.

edit: also, you left out an "ed" in "mentioned", just saying. you need some caffeine, Joe?

But yeah, it's pretty good. The Gamespot post is on it's front page. Ken VanOrd also retweeted a tweet from someone else having the bug.
