I didn't ever get to monsignor plaza. if you look back at my map you see i don't even have those areas discovered so if it does have something to do with one of those quests, it doesn't require that you have interacted with the area since i never went over there.
unfortunately, it could have also been some place you walked near differing in the two playthroughs. One step over and you might be loading different aspects of the game... one of my friends has an issue with the silver shroud radio not giving him the quest. those beacons proc in an area, for example.
It is interesting that you loaded a game then repeated exactly the same quests and it doesn't crash. This makes it seem like it has something to do with an event or movement proximity.
you can upload your saves to dropbox and pm them to Gstaff if you want bethesda to have them, he got a bunch from people earlier today so I don't know if he's looking for more or what but it couldn't hurt.
soon ... i feel it in my guts .. soon we will be able to play
Made an account just to post this: Another quest that's bugged for me is Butcher's Bill 2; it's part of the
I want to attach the quest location to this post (minor spoilers for other building locations I guess, if you care about that sort of thing; it's just a screenshot of the minimap) but I can't post links yet. It's on imgur at KnfjLe2
Edit: BTW that entire blank space around the marker I haven't been able to enter because the game crashes in that region every. single. time. Super frustrating, and I'm probably gonna switch to the new Starcraft expansion this week.
Edit 2: Fixed! The quest ID is RRR01b, and it turns out it's a repeatable quest so your location may be different from mine. Make sure what the quest ID is by running
sqt
and if it's RRR01b and the 'find agent' location is inaccessible for you too, then use
player.setstage RRR01b 300
to move to the next step. To see what you missed out on, just search Youtube for 'fallout 4 butcher's bill 2' to watch it instead (I can't post links )
Okay guys, I prayed to my http://i.imgur.com/vwgdEqk.jpg tonight for there to be a patch Tuesday. So we should be back playing fallout real soon.

oh again with this Monsignor bs. The whole [censored] district is crashy
yeah i know but the good news is they have contacted bethesda about the problem and maybe we will get a responce about their progression of fixing the bugs.
Gamespot claimed to contact bethesda before, and a lot of us here contacted bethesda via support, but we are still yet to see at least some sort of anwer from them. Which kinda makes me think that they have no idea what the hell is causing the crash and what can they do about it. I can deal with the fact that such a huge game like Fallout 4 has bugs and that we had a misfortune to experience them, but It really grinds my gears when we are being kept in the dark here.
I totally agree, they could atleast say something!
We have tried to find a correlation between quests, and it turned out to be quite a fruitless pursuit, it's unclear what causes it
Yeah, I understand, that's why I posted this, maybe It should help.
But I think, the biggest help should come from Bethesda, not from players ...
It's entirely possible that it's not caused by a side quest, but by a random encounter, like the junkyard dog or the moonshiners.
well we know that they are at least aware of and looking into the problem, as evidenced by the admin coming in the thread earlier and collecting some files from people. I suspect that he'll be back tuesday with an update, at least I hope so.
While you're there, could you offer a sacrifice in my name, that He might continue to allow rugs to be magical artifacts that transcend the collision boundaries of more mundane objects?
I have two different characters. One has progressed further than the other with no crashes and one hasn't progressed very far but starts crashing near Monsignor Plaza.
I believe I might have a fairly good idea why my game starts crashing.
I cross referenced my quests on the 2 characters and found these 3 quests to be the difference between the two:
The character that crashes have completed these 3 quests, which the other has not:
Taking Point: Hangman's Alley
Raider Troubles at Sommerville Place
Ghoul Problems at County Crossing.
But somehow I do not believe these quests to be the problem.
I think the problem is actually with "The Lost Patrol" quest (this is not confirmed).
My Character that does not crash aquired "The Lost Patrol" quest from Paladin Danse.
The character that crashes aquired "The Lost Patrol" quest from National Guard Training Yard during the quest "Ghoul Problem at the County Crossing".
My idea is that the game crashes if you get "The Lost Patrol" or maybe any other type of quest that can be triggered in the wilds, but is tied to a timeline in the game.
Any thoughts on this??
On the character that I was experiencing the crashes with, I acquired The Lost Patrol from Paladin Danse. Additionally, that character did not complete any of the minutemen quests you mentioned above.
Nope, I think I've done this one, and I have no crash
