Fallout 4 crash in specific area

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 11:00 pm

Did you have the day 1 or 2 beta that was supposed to fix the xaudio bugs? Possibly you're stuck on that old beta? Mine downloaded in just a few seconds (but I'm on a 300mb connection so it could have been big). Try turning off the beta and turning it back on again. All I did was go to the beta section, enable the beta, closed the window and it updated to [beta] and fixed the crash.

Hmm, I have no update in my steam. How do I force an update?

Edit: Oh, nevermind, forgot to choose beta updates :)

Seems promising! Let us know all of you who were able to access that crash area after the patch.

I am on PS4, so I am eagerly waiting for this patch to fix our problem.

GAMEBREAKING CRASH!! Error Message (CE-34878-0)
Anytime i get close to the Coursers' signal in the "hunted/Hunter" main quest mission, it just Crashes. does glitch nothing else but just crash and sends me straight to the main menu of the PS4. i had to buy another game to see if this was the issue, since i never got a response from you guys for more than a week and a half. That didnt fix the issue, nor going back to previous saves. its a big circle on the map lthe crash zone]. from Monsignor Plaza to the C.I.T. Ruins (east side of it - got to about 40% courser signal strength) many have posted about it to the media but there hasnt been a response. ive also tried sending feedback and "ask bethesda. no reponses >_< im level 48 im not about to start over!!

The patch we're talking about in this thread fixes this issue. It's in Beta on the PC, but will be published to Steam shortly, and PS4 and XB1 presumably shortly after that. We know it's fixable because they fixed it on the PC so you can keep playing side quests and rest assured the next patch should fix it no problems at all.

Oh no! I see quite a few of you report that the Steam beta-update-patch fixed the Monsignor CTD for you. It did NOT fix it for me. I have 60-70 hours sunk into it; area's still inaccessible by normal means. CTD from any direction as before. Tried a couple different semi-recent saves.

Did the patch NOT fix the Monsignor bug for anyone else?

Are You sure your game is updated to 1.2.33?

You might need to check the version on settings page in game.

Did NOT fix CTD issue for me. I can confirm that I'm running 1.2.33

Issue documented here: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1544248-bug-report-index-pc/?p=24518292

I have this issue in several areas around the game now, including during the Reunions quest while following Dogmeat. Can't do the main storyline, and there are huge areas of the map I just can't go to.

So should this patch come for consoles before the end of the week or later than that?

I think it's a little too early to wrap this thread up. There are still a lot of people out there--myself included--who are still experiencing this bug.

Does it still crash as usual for you?

I've not tested it yet on my save but should be able to soon.

Crash fixed in latest beta patch on Steam

At the time I'm writing this, there is a beta patch on steam you can use that fixes the crash for the majority of us.

It should then come as a overall update in Steam and then for PS4/Xbox One.

As it fixes our saves it means anybody on console can play the game knowing that you won't have to restart the

game when the patch hits consoles so feel free to continue playing side-quests and the such until the patch

comes around to you.

If you're still having crashes then be sure to write about them in the http://www.gamesas.com/forum/328-steam-beta-update/ part of the forum - I'm not sure if Bethesda is still lurking here but I've seen a bunch of people get replies over there and even have save files asked for so that's your best bet.

Thanks!
