I've had Fallout 3 installed upon Win 7 64 and lately I've been experiencing lockups with music playing or crashes to desktop (rarely). Win7 error console gives one of those 'Video driver failed responding and has recovered' error messages. I never noticed this much crashing but I have been getting into this game more than before and playing it more than before. I have a 680i system with E8600 and 285GTX in SLI with a Corsair HX1000 PSU and SSD boot drive, with 3 drive raid array I've created mklink symbolic link to hold the data files. This is the retail version, patch 1.7 installed, and even DLC I bought from bestbuy installed. Games for Windows is updated, latest nvidia drivers reinstalled using driver cleaner, and fresh install of directX. I just built a new machine so I will try the game on that one and see what happens. Any tips would be appreciated but I smell a memory leak.
As far as overclocking ... I have done a little on occasion but crashes happen even when at stock settings!
Thanks.
