Lulz, I'll walk in and "accidentally" drop a Pulse nade and end his reign!

(then again the only real reason NV is standing at all has something to do with his... "precautions"... he may be spared...)

I'm not gonna join NCR or CL. I''m joining those smaller factions like the Kings or Boomers.

It's been stated that all the major factions are "shades of gray" meaning (most likely) that in some cases their ends may be good but their means evil. For so many people making CL to be evil, whilst slavery is bad, the end goal seems for a united nation, thus why the legion is spreading over new territory.

(The Pitt addon for FO3 is another good example of this, Ashur has slaves but the end game is to rebuild the city...but again... those in power like to stay in power.)

While the NCR is trying to rebuild society, they are to small for their task and leave people unguarded and make shady deals with criminals, also something to do with the Hoover Dam and "hogging" it's power supply I do so believe.

I'm going with Cl at first glance I thought they were evil but the more i thought about it the better they looked. Sure they are harsh but they will create the most unified and safe wasteland in my mind.

I think what may end up happening is that when you try to free some cl slaves they're gonna be like, why'd you kill everyone, they turned my life around, gave me discipline and I'm going to laugh like this. Mwahahahahaha.

I think I'm going to try to play all the sides and try and make myself the king of Vegas on my first play through.
After that I'll either side with the people of New Vegas or NCR.

im tempted to do the bidding of Mr. House on my first playthrough. i remember in one of the many previews (i think from X-play) it said at the end (also in Martyr's sig): remember, The House Always Wins ...so i'm very intrigued by the potential power of that seemingly small statement. i might be to tempted to resist

That's it, he's won me over. It's gonna be anarchy...

I wonder if maybe we could spy on the other faction for whoever our loyalty lies with.

Anyway, have a http://www.uesp.net/wiki/General:Fishy_Stick

Spying would be interesting. It would be cool if you could some how turn all the fractions you could to support one of the others so in the end we could make a sort of super faction.

And thanks for the fishy stick, had no clue what it was till now. :P

I am still a strong supporter of the NCR. But I think I will try to help them only in the nice ways, meaning that I will help them defend what they already have, but not to further expand their territory. Also, I will help Mr. House when ever his missions doesn't involve killing NCR troops.

A pitty that there isn't a bit more info about the Omerta.
I'm really interested in joining that one and would also like to know what kind of impact it could have if you only join up with them.

it's all a mix up. The Legion wants House and NCR out of the way so they can take over. NCR are happy to let House run the place, so by siding with NCR you are also siding with House. Who knows what House wants, maybe he wants both NCR and Legion off his back. Or maybe he would be much happier with the Legion outside his walls than the NCR.

The more complex it is, the better for us (the players!)

NCR are greedy and hunger for power and expansion, like hell they're gonna let a computer run a city so rich as New Vegas.
They're probably just playing it safe and waiting for the right moment to strike. :ninja:
