FALLOUT 4 DLC best location (IMO)

Post » Mon Dec 07, 2015 8:56 am

In my opinion I would love to see Ronto
(Toronto Canada) as a FO4 DLC. I think that would be an amazing location with great diversity in weather systems and landmarks plus I don't recall any Canadian locations in any video game that I have at least played.

What do you guys think? Would you like to play FO4 in the streets of Toronto Canada?

Would be cool.

Ronto is the only place up north, besides The Abbey of the Road, that is of any importance.

I have personally always suspected one of the fo4 DLC would go up there, it being The Pitt of Fallout 4.

This is all based on the assumption that Bethesda didn't make the Lone Wanderer blowing up Toronto in Mothership Zeta canon however.

The alien death deathray's explosion is aimed at Toronto's area, and while not immediately destroyed, the resulting shock-wave reaches past Detroit, and almost to Pittsburgh, and Albany NY.

Oh right forgot about that. Well I hope it didn't hit Toronto and only maybe sent shock waves

I suspect that we will never hear from Mothership Zeta again. They'll never come out and say it's non-canon, but I suspect it will join the psychic supermutants of Fallout 1 and the ghost in Fallout 2 as things that are just never mentioned ever again.

Err yeah sure, why not. Annexed Canada is not something we have much lore on and more would be welcome.

I'd like to see one set in Florida. How screwed is Florida in the Fallout lore?

There is no lore on any part of the U.S. from Texas/Oklahoma -> The Carolinas, and down to Florida, beyond the fact Tycho went to the Gulf of Mexico and came back sometime before Fallout 1.

Is basically the last frontier of Fallout's post-war America. Well, that and a few of the northern states such as the Dakotas, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Though maps from Fallout:Tactics show that the MwBoS scouted out that northern area, they never set up any firm hold over anything up there.

As a massachusets resident I would like to see the peninsula of Cape Cod as a DLC location. It could have interesting mix of environments both on land and in the surrounding waters. It could have dense woodlands, beaches and coastline littered with ruins and ship wrecks. You could even explore the mansions of the extremely wealthy old money families of Massachusets.

I would like to see Fallout outside the United States. London would be nice, but somewhere in China would have more to do with Fallout. We know what happened to one of the super powers of Fallout lore. I want to see what happened to the other one.

This may come as consolation to some people; we know that aliens are in the game as clutter item figurines that can be launched out of the Junkjet. That may or may not be their only real presence in the game, although I'd still expect an Alien Blaster level easter egg. I wouldn't expect any mention of the events of Mothership Zeta.

I'm hoping alien weapons make their way as top tier energy weapons personally. I do not want to use the Gauss series weapons as my endgame weapons for yet another Fallout. Not after Fallout 2 gave me the Pulse weapons that have yet to return.

I wouldn't mind seeing Ronto and learning about what exactly went on there during the U.S.'s annexation of Canada. Other ideas: Coastal areas (besides Boston, maybe The Hamptons in New York) for some creepy seaside villages, Upstate New York, maybe a trip down to Dixie (Carolinas or even the Gulf of Mexico).

We learned a little about the annexation of Canada. The survivalist in Honest hearts was stationed in Canada during the annexation. It's not much, but his story was pretty awesome. Kind of wished we saw more of it. The guy was badass.

Yeah he definitely was. Still, it didn't really go into a lot of detail about what went on there so a DLC would be really nice to help fill in the blanks.

The city of Toronto has such amazing structures and the size is perfect for a DLC. The Annex of Canada in regards to the lore is pretty important to the war. I think Canada DLC is almost a must!

I feel like another city adventure would just be more of the same, unless it's something truly unique like London or Paris or Rome with tons of awesome history. Not sure how that would fit in with any of the lore, but since we don't know what FO4 will bring, perhaps they'll throw in a link to the old world.

I also didn't care much for the trip to Zion in FONV. Yeah, it was pretty, but had nothing to do with the FO universe. It was like a picknick with guns.

I think it would be cool to discover another Enclave rig off the coast, throw in some old tanker and hangar ships for a complete new off-coast scene of sorts.

Or a trip to the moon!

I'd love to visit 'Ronto, if only to see if my neighbourhood exists!

Only for one mission, a very significant one at that. Most of it took place in Detroit and Hengsha.

I wouldn't mind seeing Canada in Fallout for the first time, or anywhere else so long as it is North America.

Those examples highlight a problem with using any Canadian location, even the cities which are most known to people outside of Canada, like Toronto. The problem is the culture, landmarks/locations, local history, politics, factions based on such things, hardly anyone outside of Canada (and heck not even many Canadians heh) will be familiar with any of it.

It could even be confusing, people will see the city hall and be like hey it's Raccoon City, finally the Fallout / Resident Evil crossover I've been waiting for! :)
