Fallout 4 DLC Discussion Thread

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 6:50 pm

DLC that gives the option to skip the introduction sequence. There are already mods that skip this for Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim. I'm actually surprised they didn't offer this in the base game.

DLC that adds a hardcoe mode.

DLC that removes player voice acting and brings back the Fallout 3 text dialogue system. Already been requested but this is the only new feature of the game I really don't like. Bethesda could probably profit from this quite a bit, as almost every player made quest mod would require it.

I think a simple addition to add to the size, exploration and gameplay would be the discovery of some massive network underground. There could be underground colonies of people, new forms of mutants/creatures (maybe also colonizing) or anything that can be dreamt up really.

As a Fallout 3/New Vegas player I really liked the big new worlds like "Old World Blues" and "Point Lookout" and "The Pitt"

I haven't played it. I hope they consider something like this instead of going to an alien ship or something out of place. I envision lit, maintained areas for humans/mindful ghouls and dark tunnels where your pip boy light is your only friend...yet also your enemy as it draws creatures to you. They could add a torch melee weapon that doubles as both light and defense, capable of setting creatures on fire. My mind can run with this idea all night. :P

I'd prefer an expanded map to a load to a new world ala The Pitt.

Not sure what it would entail, but with it is like to see...
-expanded settlement options, more structures, larger, space, higher capacity, more jobs, better management options, more settlement options like decrees and laws. The ability to create a raider settlement and raid other towns in the wastes. Ability to attack other settlements and form raiding parties.

-New crafting station consisting of a sewing machine with a manual foot pedal for making clothes along with the ability to dye said clothes for those more enclave enclosed to give their raiders jackbooted uniforms.

-new clothing.

-new weapons with requisite mods. (Specifically the Chinese assault rifle and others)

I'd like their DLC to be closer to the style of new vegas.

New York City/Manhattan

Tall buildings, flooded streets, flooded metros, junk walkways connecting the buildings. Landmarks: Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, World Trade Center? (Don't want to ruffle any feathers), Wall Street. Emphasis on vertical and underwater exploration.

Hub town would be located in the Empire State Building.

I just want a DLC based in NYC. Doesn't seem too outlandish a concept since it's not horribly far from Boston. Although I'm not sure how it would tie into lore. For all I know it may have been talked about and may be a giant flooded crater. I'm sure I'll get someone to correct me.

Edits: maybe also have a new set of prototype power armor that aids in underwater exploration? Enhanced movement, underwater visor to let you see past the murk.

I wish to see a DLC that adds somewhat similar to the Fallout 3 dlc: Anchorage. with this includes the comeback of the chinese assault rifle, if its not in the game the chinese stealthsuit.

This. Every Fallout game has included Slavers to some extent except this title. It's disappointing and missed.

Love this idea, I actually thought about a similar idea maybe add underwater facilities with wreckage and even sea creatures that will attack us. The power armor is capable of exploring the sea floor because when we sink in water we can pop our flashlight. Kinda reminiscent to the big daddy's from bioshock.

I would love to see some Settlement improvements(more walls, floors, increased max size, more options, and a way to see a list of current settler jobs) mostly. I would also like to see some new areas to explore after that, and maybe some new enemies/weapons.

DLC that has us explore/loot an abandoned Enclave outpost, either as the focus of the DLC or an addon, like with the Atherium Wars questline with Dawnguard.

General gist is that we are hired to explore/loot the place by someone who, as it turns out, is an ex-Enclave member trying to resurrect the group.

They die shortly after activating the security system to eliminate you. By the security system. Two sets of antagonists: the first is the caretaker AI that runs the security system, and the second are a series of discontinued biological weapons developed by the Enclave in the interem between FO2 and FO3, using F.E.V. of course.

The prototypes escape during after the caretaker AI is shut down and security permanently disabled and... well, take the story from there.

Jyst because the Enclave us dead doesn't mean their ghost can't haunt the Wasteland.

I would say add some of the ammo crafting like in New Vegas reloading for firearms / recharging for energy weapons and definitely new areas I wouldn't mind seeing a usable vertibird we could land at our base & use it to shoot down to say the capital wasteland or a entirely new area the other thing I am surprised never made it into FO 3 NV or FO 4 is bows

As far as bug fixes the only thing that I have seen so far that's very annoying is the companion especially Dogmeat getting in the way constantly

What I want to see

A town being a mix of humans and inteligent deathclaws, a little homage to Vault 13 (possiably the good ending)

One of the weapons I want is a bullpup rifle (possiably an assault rifle) that is fully intergrated into the mod system.

I will admit one thing I liked about New Vegas was the ammo crafting system. Why is simple, It has been stated that if things go bad, all the ammo would be expended within 1 year. After that without new ammo being made modern firearms would be useless. New Vegas filled in that gap by actually showing and displaying ammunition being made.

I liked the Skyrim DLC the most so something similar would be fantastic.

Dragonborn - All about the sole survivor, more backstory, more quests, more perks.

Dawnguard - Additional factions, bigger more badass foes to defeat, bigger sense of "danger" in the wasteland.

Hearthfire - Major additions to settlements, settlers, resources, and crafting.

:wavey:

Since fallout 4 takes place in MA I would love to see New Hampshire get some DLC, it has a lot of mountains with snow. Could be really cool for a fallout game especially with the new weather systems. Maine could also be a great place to set some locations

Would LOVE to see more factions added. Noticed there weren't as many and when I compared the wiki of NV and 4 I realised that there are only 14 in fallout 4 opposed to the 33ish in both new vegas and fallout 3

As far as settlements go, more options is always nice. When they said they used minecraft as an inspiration I was really excited because of the redstone aspect of it, but actually playing it is very limited. something like moving objects, elevators, drawbridges, pistons, so that we can really make those epic builds. As well it would be extra helpful if you can place items within others like in halo forge (ex. placing a door in an existing doorframe) snap frames are great but some options to go without would be nice

Settlement Expansion and Evolution

- Increased population caps

- More buildings, furniture, turrets, etc..

- Some kind of interactive wall and gate-building mechanic with different options of concrete, wood, metal, etc..

- using a wooden wall or a fence one by one is a nightmare

- terrain modification/leveling

- having to build construction vehicles/tools/instruments beforehand

- clearing debris that you can't scrap

- polish some of the building mechanics( e.g. walls not snapping, food crops floating, etc..)

This is my favorite part of Fallout 4.

Bottom line: expand and evolve settlement building.
