Fallout 4 (DLC IDEAS)

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 4:58 am

It was seemingly pointless to destroy Morrowind as well, given that its not really changed anything in-game yet. However, Bethesda is known to always have the rough plots of the next 2-3 games planned out, they do things with a purpose. If they do make Ronto being destroyed canon, its likely for some reason in the long run.

I don't deny its a guess.

Well given that
A. Its mentioned on a terminal in The Citadel that the government tried to recover a UFO in Maryland.
B. The leader of the Outcasts accepts alien tech as part of his quest.
C. The Enclave are found investigating alien power cells near Fort Bannister
D. The Enclave are known to have alien power cells, and an alien blaster, in their base at Adam's Airforce Base.
E. Alien power cells can be found in Olney Power Works, with a cut note explicitly stating they were studying how they worked.
F. There is an entire DLC about them.
G. The Fallout 3 game guide suggests the Enclave may have gotten a lot of their advanced tech from aliens, something supported by their study of alien tech in points C and D
Aliens seem to be canon.

There is one thing about little hints and mysteries at stuff, and easter eggs. It entirely different having a full blown independence day style alien snarf as canon.

FONV added Wild Wasteland, which can eliminate aliens from the game, which suggests to me they may not be "official" canon. I don't mind the little easter eggs. MZ went overboard. But we will see.

I live in RI and this would please me.

In Pawtucket there is a very old train station right across from where I live.It would make an perfect location for Fallout.Around 3 months ago a photographer was taking pics for about an hour.Could be site scouting could be nothing.

In Providence there is a Masonic Temple that was nearly built then never finished due to the depression (1929) would make a possible home to the Abbey of the Road(Rhode).

Providence is the Birthplace of HP Lovecraft. The devs have a fondness for his works.

Fingers crossed

Marcella's terminal in Point Lookout says The Abbey is to the west of the Commonwealth, not the south.

Question: if you plan on making DLC ahead of time, aren't you really just selling an incomplete game and charging customers for the rest piecemeal? Part of me actually feels that 'horse armor' is what DLC really should be: a purely optional add-on that contributes to the actual game in no way.

as someone who used to live in Nova Scotia, i sure hope not.. sure there are some interesting regionally historic landmarks, but far from what would provide "amazing gameplay"

No, why would you even think that?

I'm hoping the Enclave isn't in the main game at all, but I think the idea of a Chicago DLC involving that Enclave Outpost mentioned in New Vegas, would be quite wicked! Enclave involvement on a smaller scale would be better this time around.

Still hoping for a huge arena DLC where you can continue to fight specialized enemies for sweet gear and items. Would be awesome to have small skirmishes by bringing along companions.

Here's another goofy idea: The SS is the deciding factor in a war between NYC and Jersey over who owns Long Island.
