Fallout 3 DLC Issue

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 11:50 pm

I had already posted this on the PS3 issues page (Where it belongs) but it seems that no one answers it when it is there. I hope that it will be a better turn out here.

After playing Fallout 3 for a long time without the DLC's I decided to buy them. I started with Point Lookout cause I thought it looked pretty cool. I have seen a lot about the DLC's and also heard that I would have to restart my game after purchase and download. But after looking for some time some people told me that I wouldn't have to, but without heeding the warnings that I would have to restart my game, I bought Point Lookout and turned the game on. I checked the downloads option in the main menu and nothing came up. I'm not sure what went wrong but would someone tell me if I will have to restart my game, it doesn't really matter if I do I would just like to know.

Thanks in advance.

No, you don't need to stat a new game to play Point Lookout. Once you've downloaded Point Lookout, go into your game and go outside somewhere. After a few moments, you should get a popup about a boat that you should visit. If you don't get the popup after walking around for a few minutes, try fast-traveling to another location.
