Any opinions on how you folks would feel on a potential DLC that would provide a cooperative capability for this game? I personally would like perhaps an option perhaps sometime down the road that would provide multiplayer, or perhaps a mod maybe?

No Co-op or any multiplayer components for Fallout 4.
Todd Howard said he tried multiplayer for Fallout 4 and it didn't work the way he wanted it to, so now Todd Howard will leave Fallout 4 as a singleplayer only video game, which is also good for us who are modders.
There are enough video games that have some sort of multiplayer sold on the market we don't need anymore.
That can't just be added through a DLC. The game would need to be made to that effect from the start. Or be a completely seperate game entirely like GTA Online is. But as far as an opinion, hell no. I've never wanted a co-op in a Fallout game.
You can't slap multiplayer functionality in the game with DLC. It has to be included from the start of the development or it won't there at all.
And I really hope Beth never includes pointless multiplayer even in the future games.
Also multiplayer discussions should be limited here:

^ This for as long as Bethesda Game Studios exists I hope ZeniMax Media Inc. and Bethesda Softworks executives don't go ahead and think of adding any sort of multiplayer component.
I want The Elder Scrolls video games, Fallout video games, and whatever new video games whenever developed by Bethesda Game Studios to remain 100% singleplayer forever.
They wanna do multi-player Fallout, make the MMO they keep talking about.
Keep the base game single player. I don't need that rubbish.
Don't want over 50% of the features to be cut and have a useless companion.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP SPEAKING ABOUT CO-OP or MUTIPLAYER.
Fallout and ES are singler player games and they are good like that.
IF u want co-op go play CoD or Diablo
Nah, no reason to ruin a single player game.

This thread will be locked soon so i suggest you talk about it here instead.
Maybe their next project will be "Fallout: Online" and make it an open world, survival, multiplayer/Co-op game.
Oh please no, let Fallout Online be for ZeniMax Online Studios not Bethesda Game Studios.

as things stand, i highly doubt the creation engine could even handle MP properly at all, eeven if we don't take mods into account..
as others have said though, MP can't be added in as DLC, it has to be programmed in from the beginning..
and while i personally probably wouldn't play MP on a FO or TES title (there are much better games to get a MP fix from), I don't agree with those who take a "Multiplayer be evilz and ruinz everything, no no no!" stance (the way some people post about multiplayer, i wonder if they even ever played one, because they state things as if they are fact when they truly aren't and act is if very rare occurrences are the norm).
it depends entirely on the game, some games are suited for Multiplayer and the MP can be very fun and interesting, other games are not suited for it at all.. TES and FO would be in the latter
I dont understand the allure of a MP mode/MMO for fallout...they ALREADY TRIED IT with the ELDER SCROLLS, and guess what? it didnt do so well, all we got was a subpar exuse of a MMO that was...just meh, at best. i mean i get it, a fallout MMO might be kinda cool, but i dont think it would make sense lore wise, considering most of humanity died 200 years ago, and yes...thats along time for people to be born, but considering the wasteland is a harsh place, not alot of people are...well, having kids, id think...and considering kids dont have a large chance at surviving this harsh world, a MMO just wouldnt make sense with millions of players.
Fallout seems to be moving into more of a post-post-apocalyptic setting, so it's a bit more feasible now. The one who would have nuked it all back (.... ) at Obsidian has quit the place, so it's increasingly likely that civilization will slowly reassert itself.
No idea if your referring to me because your probably read my comments.
I don't think multiplayer svcks it's just that the video game market is too saturated with too many video games that have some sort of multiplayer component.
Multiplayer in Fallout can be discussed here: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1512524-fallout-multiplayer-discussion-thread/
